The role of the successful candidate will be to support the team in a wide range of related activities, gaining a unique insight into this interesting and fast moving business area.

Operations Support Coordinator Placement

We have an exciting opportunity within our department where the successful candidate will be able to contribute to the team and make a real change. The role reports directly to the Operations Manager, where there is opportunity to provide a new perspective on day to day duties within the team.

Responsibilities:

Working on various projects you will get to learn about different areas of the department which will give you a sound and broad understanding for your time after University.
In essence, the key projects being:

  • Generating and managing purchase orders
  • Work closely with the Product Team to review suppliers
  • Monitoring stock levels.
  • Liaising with all parts of the supply chain
  • Work closely with other departments in the business to satisfy their purchasing needs
  • Report on delivery related problems
  • Assist with supplier performance reviews

Other Duties:

In addition to the core project, this new role will also support the wider remit of the Roadcrew department with a range of tasks to support team deliverables.

  • General assistance to other members of the marketing team as required, in particular with actions relating to events & network marketing
  • Any other duties as assigned

Current degree requirements:

  • Studying for an Operations / Project Management degree or related business studies degree.
  • 2 years completed – placement between 2nd & 3rd study years.
  • Academic grades on track for a first or high 2:1 on their chosen studies
  • Studying a CIPS qualification desired but not essential

Competencies, skills and knowledge required:

  • Understanding and appreciation of key purchasing principles
  • High level of computer literacy, including all standard Microsoft packages.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent level of written & verbal communication skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • High energy levels; creative & inquisitive
  • Willing to learn, develop & contribute quickly
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to stringent deadlines
  • Ability to handle a number of tasks, along with core projects, at any one time
