Marketing Assistant Placement

This role will provide a fantastic insight into the marketing and management, of a range of products at Panasonic UK and will allow a variety of exposure and involvement across a wide range of marketing duties. Whilst there may be some involvement in certain aspects of the creative marketing process, this role is mainly to support commercial product management and therefore gives the candidate an excellent overall understanding of key management functions within this industry.

Role Purpose:

To support the Management team, in marketing for UK and Ireland, through implementation of marketing strategy, support of product launches, data analysis, etc.

Outline of Duties:

• Work with Product Managers and Assistant Product Managers
• Assist in the development of marketing strategy for 2017 – 2018
• General marketing administration
  • Reporting
  • Market analysis and competitors intelligence
  • Liaison with market data supplier: GFK / Future Source / You Gov, etc…
  • Updating web content
• Assist in business planning for Panasonic UK
• Assist in promotional activities
• Liaison with Japan regarding stock and marketing materials.
• Liaison with marketing agencies on departmental projects.
• Activating and facilitating marketing projects
• Actively take part in the recruitment of Industrial Placement Students for the following year

Person Specification:

• Strong communication skills
• Self-starter bringing new ideas to the department using your initiative
• Good time management
• Flexible & able to re-prioritise when necessary
• Creativity
• Ability to work both individually and as a team
• An interest in commercial marketing and/or consumer electronics
• Good Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Good numerical & literacy skills
• Driving licence preferable
