Technology Internship & Placement Programmes
What does it involve?
We offer a choice of internships to suit your different interests and the requirements of your degree. Some just last for the summer, others last a whole 11 months.
Network Engineering
Our Network internship lasts for 11 months. Do you want to gain experience at the forefront of systems development? You will be joining our specialists in communications, electronics and information technology, you will be working within Network Engineering to create bespoke IT systems, integrating, testing and delivering new systems.
Security
Our Security internship lasts 11 months. If you're studying a computing based course and want to put those theories to real-world use, this is the internship for you. You’ll join a team which combats cyber-crime and threats to BT's national infrastructure through applications and systems.
Software Engineering
Our Software Engineering industrial placements lasts for 11 months and our summer placements are 12 weeks. It’s a chance to get involved in the complete software development life cycle at BT - from application design and development, to testing and support. You’ll develop the cutting-edge skills that will set you apart from the rest.
Research and Innovation
Our Research and Innovation internship lasts 12 weeks. You’ll develop understanding of the future challenges facing a global company, and how your research could shape our future. And you’ll experience every opportunity to develop world-class problem solving and leadership skills.
So what do I need?
You’ll need to be an innovative and commercially astute individual. Someone who embraces change and every opportunity to learn. Putting customers first, you take responsibility for delivering improvement and results in all you do. Crucially, you enjoy building relationships and working with others. Naturally, you’ll need to demonstrate some relevant technical skills and knowledge.
