Global Private Banking Internship
What to expect
We’re looking for the future leaders of Global Private Banking — and this starts with our 10-week internship. You will need to be forward-thinking, driven and perceptive, open to different ideas and cultures and enjoy being part of a team.
During the 10 weeks, you’ll work alongside a team of experts that provides wealth management advice and tailored investment services to help our high-net-worth clients and their families achieve their financial goals. As well as seeing how we build relationships with our clients, you’ll learn all about our comprehensive investment offering, which covers all asset classes. We work in close partnership with Commercial Banking and our other global businesses.
There will be plenty of people around to support you. You’ll be assigned a dedicated buddy who you can share ideas with and who will give you guidance. There will be opportunities to establish a network across Global Private Banking, which will stand you in good stead for the future. You will be able to network with senior subject-matter experts through regular “lunch and learn” sessions and partake in social activities after work where you will be able to meet senior managers within Global Private Banking.
You’ll also be able to take part in our sustainability initiatives. Our volunteering programme, for example, could help you to develop new skills, while contributing to the communities in which we work.

Learning and development
We’ll take your learning and development seriously so you get the most out of your internship. Your time with us will begin with a one-week induction, which will include technical training tailored to Global Private Banking. You can then expect a mix of practical, hands-on experience and technical and behavioural skills training, along with exposure to a range of banking services.
This will provide you with the right balance of knowledge and enable you to help meet the needs of our clients. At the beginning of your internship, measurable objectives will be set by your line manager, who will manage your performance as well as offering you support and advice.

Tailors needed
We are looking for Tailors; people who are passionate about providing bespoke services for our clients. You’ll need to be an excellent communicator with an eye for detail.
