About RBS

We’re the bank that’s determined to make a difference – to our customers, our people and the communities we serve. That determination is what makes RBS such an exciting place to work. We believe there’s a right way to do business, and we’ve created a fair, open, honest culture that values your passions and will help you achieve your full potential.

Female Insight Programme

If you want to find out what possibilities lie in banking, and want to meet professionals who have been successful in their field of expertise, why not join our one week programme?

Our Female Insight weeks offer a glimpse into the careers of some of our top female business talent. You’ll have the chance to learn from their experience, ask your own questions, and get a real insight into their determination, and steps they’ve taken to succeed in their careers. All we ask is that you’re a first year student, or second year student taking a four year course.

What you can expect

We offer our programme in three key business areas: Commercial & Private Banking, Technology & Business Solutions and Corporate & Institutional Banking.

As you learn about our different business areas, you’ll have the chance to see live project work and operations in action, and sit at key meetings to understand what our leaders do. You’ll also have the chance to network with our female graduates, finding out about their experiences here so far, and helping you decide which area of banking is for you.

We know that deciding which career to choose can be tricky, so we’ll help to shape your ideas through personal development and employability training.

Who we’re looking for

We run our programmes for first-year students, or second-year students taking a four year course. Your degree discipline doesn’t matter to us. What is more important is your willingness to learn and show a passion for what we do. And if you impress us in the final assessment, you could secure a place on our 2017 summer internships.
