Mechanical Engineering Placement

Over your 12 month internship you'll work in a Mechanical Engineering environment gaining invaluable skills and experience. The opportunities available will cover all aspects of mechanical engineering from design to testing. You could be analysing requirements, working on a product design or defining a test specification and liaising with the different functions such as Manufacturing & Product Quality.

On joining our Mechanical Engineering internship you could be working on jet engines and aircraft structures, oil & gas products for downhole technology and measurement and sensing or looking at computed models for product design.

Our Mechanical Engineering 12 month internship includes opportunities within:

  • Aerospace/Aviation
  • Oil & Gas
  • Power & Water
  • Energy Management

You will be guided by structured goals & objectives and will have responsibility to deliver on inspiring projects. We will support you throughout the year to ensure you make the best of your GE experience. Your manager will offer coaching and mentoring, and the Company will provide the opportunity to connect with other interns across the UK.

We are currently advertising multiple internship opportunities within the UK, including: Aberdeen (Scotland), Cardiff (Wales), Hamble (closest to Southampton and where majority of roles are) and Prestwick (Scotland).

Roles in other locations may become available in the near future, and if you are flexible in terms of location, you are still encouraged to apply!
