About Unilever

Unilever is one of the largest fast-moving consumer goods companies in the world. We make some of the world’s most loved brands: Dove, Lynx, PG Tips, Ben & Jerrys, Marmite, Magnum, Persil and Hellmann’s, to name a few. For a business whose very purpose is to create a brighter future, that future begins in Research & Development (R&D). This is the hotbed of ideas for brands, products, packaging, manufacturing and technology. Your work could impact millions across the world.

Supply Chain Industrial Placement

If you have a logical mind, enjoy problem solving and are interested in Operations Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Planning or Logistics, then a 12 month Industrial Placement or 12 weeks Summer Placement in Supply Chain Management at Unilever could be for you. Believe it or not, Unilever’s global Supply Chain is the largest division in the company. We make some of the world’s best loved brands (Dove, Flora, Tresemmé, Ben & Jerry’s, Comfort, Knorr and Marmite to name a few), and we want students with the will to lead others in driving these brands forward.

At every stage of our supply process, starting with sourcing raw materials and ending with timely delivery to our customers. It’s down to us to make sure our products are available on the shelves at the highest quality, when consumers want them and at a good price.

What do we look for?

We will accept applications from any degree discipline. Students must have completed the penultimate year of their undergraduate degree by the time they start their placement and be returning to study after their placement.

We have a strong performance culture with challenging goals, future focussed feedback and drive for innovation and ambition in an inclusive informal environment. We will push you to achieve your potential and make a big business impact where you learn from the best. First-hand experience - it’s the fastest way to learn.

Our Supply Chain Management Industrial Placements are a chance to showcase your ambition, thinking and skills, with total support from a line manager and a buddy either in one of our 10 factories or the head office. The top performers on the Industrial Placement will be offered a place directly onto our Unilever Future Leaders Programme, starting when you complete your degree, without needing to apply.

We also have excellent benefits to support you through your placement including a salary of £20,000, 20 days annual leave and online training.

Application Process

Our application process involves;

  • Online application with competency based questions
