About Unilever

Unilever is one of the largest fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies in the world. We make some of the world’s most loved brands: Dove, Lynx, PG Tips, Ben & Jerrys, Sure, Magnum, Knorr and Hellmann’s, to name a few. Unilever takes care of the whole supply chain of its products, from development and sourcing right through to production, marketing and distribution. 168,000 people globally produce brands that are sold in 190 countries and used by two billion people daily.

About the role

Analytical mind-set? Business brain? Aspirations to become a FTSE 100 CFO? A career in Financial Management could be right for you. At Unilever, Financial Management is about so much more than numbers. It’s the lifeblood of our business – touching every area, informing multi-million euro decisions, and directly influencing the development, growth and health of our brands, and through them our vision to build a brighter future for our world.

Our people have the opportunity to make a big impact every day, on a local level, across Europe and the globe. We have a proven tradition of developing our own purpose driven leaders and encourage innovative thinking.

What will I be doing?

You will work across local, regional and global teams. We are trusted advisors right across the business and you’ll be in the thick of influencing strategy and investment decisions from day one. You will be making decisions that directly determine the future of our brands, the way we work with our customers and how we run our supply chain.

What do we look for?

It might come as a surprise, but we don’t have a specific discipline requirement, so you don’t have to have a background in finance or economics. We’re looking for strong analytical skills, ambition, a talent for influencing people and a real desire to understand how a business operates and succeeds. Enthusiasm and commitment go a long way.

We have a strong performance culture with challenging goals, future focussed feedback and drive for innovation and ambition in an inclusive informal environment. We will push you to achieve your potential and make a big business impact where you learn from the best. First-hand experience - it’s the fastest way to learn.

Students must have completed the penultimate year of their undergraduate degree by the time they start their placement and be returning to study after their placement.
