About the role

We’re looking for someone to join our UKIT team as a Service Support Analyst to sit within the Service Delivery Team. Working with a team of IT service management specialists and reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring IT services are running smoothly and delivering value to the UK business.  

You will take a hands on role from day one. Sharing the workload of the team, you will be involved in various activities and tasks including:

  • Buyer Approval for IT Spend
  • On-Call Rota Maintenance
  • System Backup Failure Tracking & Analysis
  • Development Cost Tracking and Reporting
  • Preparation of the Forward Schedule of Change
  • Incident Monitoring and Trend Identification
  • Change Approval Escalation
  • Enterprise Data Maintenance
  • Coordination of Portable Device Hardware Repair
  • Problem Impact Review
  • Access Request Provision
  • Project Portfolio Upkeep & Reporting
  • Communication of network outages
  • Vetting of Security Exception Requests
  • Identification of Service Delivery Gaps and Potential Solutions

The team encounter a number of situations which require specific attention and will require different actions. These could be project based, be the initiation of new processes or be performing support and analysis as part of problem management.

What you’ll need

  • To be studying for a degree within Business or IT, that offers a placement year opportunity
  • To be able to demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • The ability to convey complex issues to different audiences
