If you’re looking for an insight into the world of business, our two-day Spring into Deloitte events present the perfect opportunity for you. Designed specifically for first students (or second years studying a four-year course), they’re a great way to discover what a career in professional services is all about, and get a feel for what’s like to work here at Deloitte.

About Spring into Deloitte

The days themselves are packed with business games, skill sessions and opportunities to network with a range of Deloitte people, from first year Graduates to Partners of the firm. One night’s accommodation is also provided, and over dinner you get to discuss with more of our people the career that might be best suited to you. If, after the event, you like the sound of Deloitte and what we have to offer, you’ll have the chance to fast track onto our 2017 Summer Vacation Scheme. This year, each course is specifically designed to help you learn about a particular business specialism, so it’s worth doing your homework first to see which are of most interest to you.

What we look for

To be considered for a place at one of these events, you must be studying at a UK university, and on track for a 2:1 in your first year of a three-year course or second year of a four-year course. Beyond that, we’ll expect you to have:

• GCSEs at grade B or above in both Maths and English Language (or equivalent, if not taken in the UK)
• at least 320 UCAS points – equivalent to two Bs and one A at A Level in your first sitting (not including General Studies).
• a genuine interest in the business area you specify in your application

The application process

Our revised application process is designed to be as thorough and fair as possible. It consists of three stages:

1) Apply online – simplified this year to include questions about your personal details and academic qualifications. Once completed you will be invited to play our Firefly Freedom game to demonstrate how you react to different situations.
2) Online numerical reasoning test – designed to assess how comfortable you are working with numerical data
3) Online critical thinking test – designed to assess how well you can evaluate and draw conclusions from non-numerical information
