The DLA Piper virtual internship involved participating in networking activities attending several talks from members of the firm in a number of different departments and preparing and delivering a group presentation
Each day involved interactive and engaging talks from lawyers and people at the firm These ranged from CSR and diversity initiatives the firm is engaging with to talks from senior partners and lawyers We had the opportunity to ask questions in each sess

We listened to zoom sessions in the mornings and early afternoon each day about the firm from various partners and trainees The afternoons were dedicated to group work for a client pitch presentation at the end of the week
Listening to interactive sessions hosted by different key leaders within DLA Piper to provide an overview of the work DLA undertakes and the culturevalues of the firm Time integrated in to the week to prepare a pitch to a fictitious client

The internship consisted of 5 insightful days The days were split into two with interactive talks regarding the firms practise areas probono health and wellbeing and spotlight sessions In general the mornings consisted of these talks and the aftern
For the virtual internship we attended talks from members of the firm around the UK Ireland and the UAE We also took part in a group project exercise where we had to make a pitch on behalf of DLA Piper to prospective clients

As interns we gained a deeper understanding of the firm and their culture through having meetings with many of the firms international Department Heads as well as presentations from important programmes on Diversity and Inclusivity the importance of heal
