The internship was very enjoyable and passed by extremely fast. I was given an interesting project to work on that contributed to the on going work of the department, which made it more enjoyable. All my colleagues were very friendly which obviously helps as well. In addition the hours were not excessive either.
The internship so far has been fantastically organised, the first week was a company and industry induction which was great for getting everyone up to speed on the basics of what the company and the industry does. this was also a great chance to get to know the other interns and other employees. There were also many social and team building events provided which was a great addition. It really does make you feel valued within the company.
I am thoroughly enjoying my internship. The immediate thing that struck me on arrival was how friendly everyone was, this is a stand out feature at Fidelity and helps to explain the high staff retention rates. The work I have done has been varied and largely interesting and I have worked closely with my team who are a fantastic group of people who are always willing to help and provide advice despite their large workloads.
It was definitely a great experience! There were many things which made it enjoyable, starting with the people, having plenty of resources and training provided, and the type of job which I found incredibly rewarding. Management was supportive and always happy to help and there was always more to learn, it never was boring.
Fidelity invest a lot into their interns and care about them from the very first day. HR are very approachable and constantly try to receive feedback from the interns in order to improve the internship. Weekly lunch & learns, intern events and a week long training session at the beginning of the internship are just a few ways of showing how we are their investments for the future.
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight. The week had been arranged very well, not a moment was wasted and the experience was incomparable; we were given the opportunity to see and understand the different areas of the business. I met business representatives who varied in seniority which was very interesting and insightful as I had the opportunity to hear about their experience and their career so far.
The four day insight at Fidelity was extremely enjoyable. A mixture of talks, question panels and group games made for a varied and interesting week. The games in particular, including a stock picking game and a sales and marketing game gave us a chance to think independently and get to know other members of the group, which I definitely enjoyed. Fidelity made an effort to keep the week enjoyable by taking us out for cocktails on one evening as well as a trip to the London Eye on a further evening. Overall, the experience was great!
The dedication of the recruiters who put the program together was evident and all the employees who we interacted with were so welcoming and helpful. Whilst gaining information is always valuable and nothing I would ever criticise, I think I would have preferred to have a few more hands on activities.
I think it was really complet as we could learn a lot of new things (both about the company and about general financial subjects), we could network a lot with diferent employees, we could shadow employees based on our prefered areas, we did several workshops, and at the same time we enjoyed all the different activities as it was an opportunity to get to know new people with similar interests.
It was a very enjoyable time. The company put a lot of effort and money in making our experience as good as possible. Many high rank speaker gave presentations and encouraged us to join the company. Everyday we were provided with breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The HR managers organised games: stock pitch and marketing campaign, in which we could win vouchers. There were also trips around London, and drinks on Fidelity!
I found my experience at Fidelity to be very delightful. Everyone there is so friendly and passionate about their job areas and that was something that would really refreshing and enlightening to see. This was the first time I experienced Asset Management and I'm glad that it was here at Fidelity.
