I really enjoyed my intern ship! the people in my team were incredibly friendly, welcoming and supportive. I have gained so much from this intern ship, from confidence in a professional workplace to new skills. I completed a range of tasks and projects all of which I thoroughly enjoyed at my time with CRUK.
I really enjoyed my six month internship at Cancer Research. It was my first job, since graduating from university. I believe it is an excellent organisation to start and build a really strong career and an organisation that I am really proud to have worked for.
It was a great internship. Everyone at CRUK were so supportive, I received so much guidance and support from my team. After completing this internship, I have a clear idea of what i would like to pursue in the future and what kind of environment i would like to work in. Thanks CRUK!
Enjoyed the internship very much. The internship had a multi-faceted approach in aiding my development. The aspect of working closely with my team and gaining responsibility; collaborating with just the other interns on separate projects; and workshops specific to my job role and for my broader self-development made this internship very enjoyable as a first step in my career.
I enjoyed working for a worthy cause. I find that my motivations to succeed is enhanced when I can see results in a place that truly deserves it. I have enjoyed learning about the variety of roles and people at Cancer Research UK and would love to continue to work here.
I really enjoyed my placement. Was very insightful and was given real responsibility whilst I was at CRUK. This was great as it felt like I was doing something meaningful and actually making a difference. What I enjoyed most was the variety of work I was given and the opportunity to meet other interns. We also were involved in fundraising which was also a highlight of my internhsip.
Really enjoyed it - learnt a lot, felt challenged. The work that goes on at Cancer Research is inspiring, and everyone who works at the organisation has a genuine passion for what they do! Would really recommend doing an internship at Cancer Research. Also lots of other interns so good for socialising!
I have really enjoyed my internship - I have learned a lot about the company, how it functions and more specifically about the directorate that I am working in: Philanthropy and Partnerships. My team have been incredibly welcoming and given me a good amount of varied work, depending on my interests, whilst still giving me freedom to explore different teams, through shadowing. There is a big focus on self-development in this internship too, which I have found rewarding, with a variety of workshops organised by HR. One thing I have particularly liked is the work culture - no one is ever too busy to have a coffee and chat with you and explain their role, or to help you out. I have really been introduced to networking in this internship!
My internship at CRUK has exceeded my expectations. I have been made to feel like a valued member of the team since day one and have always felt like my opinions and inputs are listened too and taken on board. The work I was given was well thought out and have ensured that I've experienced a range of projects throughout my internship which have given me a deep and interesting insight into the world of Talent Development.
I really enjoyed the placement because of the variety of work that I was given over my 6 months. I was able to prove my worth in the team and over time was given tasks that stretched my capabilities and taught me new skills. However it wasn't all positive. Sometimes I felt as though the jobs that I was doing dealt a bit too much with angry colleagues and a customer relations role isn't really my thing.
I was able to work on varied projects across teams other than the one that I was in and was given the opportunity to really own the projects i took on. I really appreciated how I was made to feel like areal employee, enjoying the same benefits as the other employees such as discounts on the nearby gym and restaurants.
I loved my internship! I gained great exposure to the organisation and was able to get involved with loads of different fundraising activities both internally and externally. I was able to shadow in various other teams and met some great friends too!
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship as it was my first job within the sector that I am truly passionate about and want to pursue a career in. Particularly, I was able to directly apply knowledge and aspects of my undergraduate degree to my role within CRUK. I enjoyed working working under the CRUK internship programme because of the amount of workshops and opportunities there are available for self development.
I enjoyed my work placement very much. I already had some previous experience in clinical research but this internship offered an insight from a different angle. i was able to become familiar with the organisation, how it works, what the different departments are withing the organisation and learn more about the role i was carrying out. Also being on the internship programme meant i had some career development related workshops which were very helpful.
I’m really enjoying my internship so far - from the moment I walked in, everyone has been helpful and lovely about everything, from the workload and opportunities to get involved in many things within my team and across the charity, to the logistics such as settling in and sorting out any tech issues.
I ended up in a different role to what I applied for so wasn't really sure what to expect but have really enjoyed the opportunity to try something new and develop new skills. Have enjoyed problem solving and collaborative aspects of the role and a great line manager and team has made it really enjoyable.
I greatly enjoyed my internship. Particularly the opportunity to meet and mingle with other interns working in different sectors. The environment in the office was relaxed and filled with great and supportive people.
