Everything I wanted to get out of my placement year I got. I wanted a company that gave me responsibilities which I could then learn from and develop. I also wanted a company with a good culture and an enjoyable social side to it as well. I loved the team I worked for.
I thoroughly enjoyed my work placement with General Electric Healthcare as a software engineer. I was given reign to work and lead on a variety of projects, in a diverse and intelligent team. I had the opportunity to develop my soft skills, such as holding meetings and presenting ideas, as well as technical skills.
I could not have wished for a better placement. I enjoyed every single day that I worked, everyday was different and I was always pushed and challenged to work as hard as possible while still having enough support to get on with what I was working on.
I found my time at GE Healthcare enjoyable. The year seemed to go by swiftly which showed that I enjoyed my role and activities. Although it was enjoyable I feel that I could have gotten more involved in projects outside of my line of work and potentially could have been more proactive.
I really enjoyed my placement year on the whole. I was given freedom to tackle tasks how I wanted to and was also given the opportunity to travel and work with other departments. At some times in the year it could be quite quiet which is an issue as when you are an intern you workload is often determined by other people.
I really enjoyed my experience at GE Healthcare, my team were very welcoming and friendly and I felt like I was part of the family within week of being at the company. Everyone across site was very approachable and always had time to teach me new things and help on projects even if they were busy with their own things.
The team, the resources and the environment were incredibly supportive of my professional development. The amount of things I did and learnt were far beyond expectations and it was very interesting to be behind an area of finance from one of the business of a huge corporation.
I really enjoyed my placement year at GE Healthcare. My job was interesting and it kept me busy. There was a lot of focus on training and development which I loved. There were many other interns in the office so we hung out during lunch time and on weekends too.
I had a good time during my internship at GE Heathcare. Everybody there was very friendly and wouldn’t treat you as an intern but just like any other colleague. I learned a lot when it comes to soft skills especially, so I would recommend this to anyone looking for first time experience in a real work place
I have enjoyed my experience here to the most. I was able to apply my knowledge from university in a real working environment, and probably learned a lot more technical and practical skills than I did in through my degree. I also made a lot of friends, and had a great social life with colleagues.
I thoroughly enjoyed my work placement with GE Healthcare. The working environment was so easy to fit into, the staff were all amazingly welcoming, helpful and really friendly. The workload in itself differed as time went on, I had a combination of desk work and data analysis to full-on lab work. It's helped me develop new skills and learn whilst working. Overall, it was an amazing placement!
I thoroughly enjoyed this placement as a whole, it enabled me to utilise the skills I already had as well as allowing me to develop new, useful skills for my future career. The placement also allowed me the freedom to choose my own projects which allowed me to discover the types of things I enjoyed working on- fantastic experience overall!
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement. The work I did was challenging but manageable. I had some excellent colleagues who I will definitely miss. Everyone was very supportive and created an environment where I did not feel too afraid to ask questions, no matter how silly I thought they may have been.
I greatly enjoyed my placement within GE Healthcare. The working environment was fantastic and so were the people I worked with. I has given high levels of responsibility and exposed to numerous different tasks and departments providing me with a very well rounded view of the business and all operations.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far with GE Healthcare. It was exactly what I needed to bolster my career prospects. I am a science based graduate with a passion for commercial and so this commercial operations internship based in a life sciences company has allowed me to apply my knowledge skills from university whilst learning new ones that I can develop in my future career.
