My placement at FedEx was insightful, challenging and an all around unforgettable experience. FedEx has provided me with multiple opportunities to amplify my experience and skills. My experience was a learning curve, comprehending new skills and knowledge, recognising my strengths and developing my weaknesses, understanding the operations of the logistics industry and the PMO, managing major projects, overcoming challenges and carrying out multiple tasks daily. I gained an invaluable amount of experience, and I am thankful to FedEx for providing me with multiple opportunities to learn and grow professionally and personally.
I enjoyed my time at TNT as I just didn't get to experience what my department does. I was able to freely network with other students and network with individuals in different departments. This really helped build my confidence up by speaking to various people. Working on multiple projects throughout my 12-month placement
I thoroughly enjoyed the 12 month work placement, I was given the opportunity to learn and develop myself. My role allowed me to work with individuals and teams across multiple departments throughout the business. I was also fortunate to have a variety of work involving different projects which kept me engaged in the placement.
Generally speaking I had a great year working at TNT. My role enabled me to meet a variety of different people across both TNT and FedEx UK and get involved with different initiatives. However some work could be repetitive at times. People were generally very helpful and supportive, making the transition to a corporate role much smoother. The head office is also a very good working environment.
My time at TNT was genuinely one of the most rewarding times of my working life and university life. Looking back it's difficult to understand how I ever thought I could go into a job after university without the experience I've gained during my time at university. The work was enjoyable and the people I worked with are people I would consider friends who I hope to maintain contact with.
I didn't really enjoy it at the start because I quickly realised that I wasn't doing the job that I had applied for. Towards the end of the placement it got much better as I had managed to carve out my own niche within the team and developed some good working relationships.
I really enjoyed the job even though it was in a field that I had little expertise or knowledge in. There were obvioulsy bad days and sometimes you have tasks which are quite mundane howver these were very infrequent and every job will have this. Overall it was a job I really enjoyed doing.
