It was an amazing experience for me. A lot of new information, training sessions and helpful colleagues. I definitely loved the internship and will be happy to return to the company soon. Being my first international experience, I was able to feel that both the HR and my team are doing their best to make all the interns feel included. I loved the atmosphere and the tasks I have been assigned on. As a result, I can only recommend the bank to my friends
A really enjoyable experience despite the unusual context. The program has been really well adapted to suit for the work-from-home situation. The extented financial training was very insightful, as well as the Case study, which gave us a good I sight of the job. A lot of effort was also made to enable us to get to know the team, with buddies, mentors allocated, and informal calls with the team. Everybody also made themselves available for us.
I really enjoyed my internship with Bank of America, the virtual experience was better than I imagined. The bank made the experience worthwhile by putting in place platforms to help interns stay connected and make the best out of the experience. The sessions were all well thought out and informative. The bank also leveraged technology to help interns stay connected through platforms that were easy to use. My internship with the bank has been my best job ever and I felt very connected with the people and culture.
The experience was very different from previous year internships, yet at the same time very well organised. We had the chance to interact directly with all the team to which we have been assigned and discuss with them our view of the job, of the industry and of the bank. The experience was more in general well rounded. We have been provided with a complete training and with job-like experience. Downside was related to working hours, very different from employment working hours.
Even though the internship was done virtually I think that the company really did good job for making it enjoyable. The trainings were interactive, they put in place networking sessions that were useful to ask questions to different departments of the bank. I also really enjoyed the projects I had to do at the end of each week.
My experience was in the Paris office where I interned in a desk handling both tasks from sales to trading. The internship was a learning experience for me, and enabled me to gain an insight about the asset class I was working on. My manager was availeble to answer my queries 24/7 which I really appreciate. One drawback: the internship was virtual meaning we had less face to face interaction and also provided room for some misunderstandings.
I really enjoyed the virtual experience, it was quite unusual however the virtual experience meant that we had a longer training period which was really useful before we got to our assigned desks. I also believe that I gained other skills such as creating connections over the phone which I would not have had the chance to do if I were sitting in the office. So, there were some pros to the virtual experience this year.
I really enjoyed my experience as a virtual Summer Analyst Intern in Global Markets at Bank of America. We had 3 weeks of high-quality training followed by 3 weeks of placement on our desk. I was completely integrated in the team from day one and everyone was interested and dedicated in reaching out to me. My daily tasks consisted in working on several projects that I had to accomplish as well as discussing with people from all teams from Global Markets. The purpose is you to have a global overview of the specificities of each team to be able to see which one would fit best.
I thought the virtual experience was incredible! The team at Bank of America really went above and beyond to make the experience as interactive and enjoyable as possible. We were able to partake in a number of presentations from a series of speakers and also had the opportunity to speak with a lot of Bank of America employees who gave us valuable advice. I really enjoyed my experience and I definitely learnt a lot during my internship.
Although us virtual interns didn't quite know what to expect from an online experience, our expectations were definitely exceeded. Whilst WFH, we still managed to create a great network, learn a range of skills from a variety of training that was provided and from projects that were assigned to us. Also, we had engaging sessions such as 'Interns Quiz', 'Portrait class' and 'Executive Speaker sessions' which made it an all-rounded program. If we were able to visit and work in the office, I'm sure our experience would have been even better.
I very much enjoyed my internship at BofA. The programme provided an excellent learning opportunity. After my six weeks at the bank, I now have a firm understanding of the work the organisation carries out as well as the specific tasks I will undertake within the division I interned. The programme also gave me the opportunity to build a professional network, both with existing BofA employees--who were always very keen to offer their time to have virtual coffees--and the other interns, with whom I undertook many group projects.
Excellently structured internship despite being moved online at late notice. Very detailed training of 3 weeks followed by 3 weeks on the desk which created a good balance of creating a core skillset and gaining practical exposure. Aside from the structure, the bank made sure that interns got to interact with each other via group tasks which made the internship much more social and diversified.
The experience was extremely well structured and provided great insight into the industry as a whole as well as company specific details. Overall the internship consisted of an introductory week, followed by two weeks of formal finance training and finally the remainder of the time was spent with an assigned team. This combination enabled content to be delivered in the form of talks as well as practical application of knowledge, which enhanced the learning experience. Furthermore, careful attention was paid to the challenges faced as a result of the virtual nature of the internship and the support network enabled queries to be handled with ease, in a timely manner.
