I enjoyed my time here. The best aspect was their was a good split between working at your desk and doing more practical tasks down on the shop floor. I enjoyed being given genuine tasks that mattered to the company. Sometimes however, I did find myself without work to do which got boring sometimes.
The role (Paint facilities engineer) fitted me very well with a great balance of desk work and work around the shop floor. My immediate team were also very supportive and we got along very well. The factory itself is fascinating to learn about and explore and I am grateful that I now have a much wider knowledge and understanding of engineering/automation processes.
My placement was very enjoyable and no day was the same. I experienced a great amount of variation and learnt things I never experienced making this placement a massive success and hugely beneficial. I really enjoyed every task I was presented with and I got the most enjoyment out of it towards the end.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Nissan Sunderland. The work was real hands-on engineering, solving different problems day to day. By the time I had finished I felt like I had accomplished a lot and learnt much more than I had expected to before the placement. I will be able to apply the skills I learnt here to my next year at university.
I truly enjoyed every day of my placement. Every day was different and filled with various opportunities I could learn from. Due to the diversity and dynamics of the automotive environment, I learnt from every situation which enhanced my knowledge and further developed my existing set of skills and added various new ones.
Massively. It was an absolute delight to be able to do this year on industrial placement and the things I have learnt and I will be taking away from this placement year are absolutely unbelievable and you would never learn this sort of stuff at uni. A year in industry should be compulsory part of a degree.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time working at Nissan. I worked alongside a great team of people and had the opportunity to learn in depth about many different parts of the business. I was always challenged as well as being given a great deal of autonomy which allowed me to fully immerse myself in the role.
Overall I found my placement adequate. The work wasn't as engaging as I was hoping for and hasn't given me much opportunity to develop technically. My colleagues were very supportive at all times and showed genuine interest in me & my development. I have developed good work-related skills, received training & gained a good friendship network.
I would rate the placement a 9, it was thoroughly enjoyable, with a variety of experiences and tasks being set. The Purchase team, role and wider Nissan community was all a great experience. I would recommend a placement at Nissan to anyone as a strong basis for career development and for how enjoyable it is.
Overall, it was a good experience. At times it could be successful and at others it was a bit boring or not enjoyable. The team were really nice and very easily to get along with, the scope of work was varied so at times, I had exposure to a lot of things. It could have been a bit more exciting but overall, a good year.
I thoroughly enjoyed my year in industry at Nissan UK. I have been given a level of responsibility well beyond my expectations which has enabled me to develop and enhance my skills. I would highly recommend applying to Nissan UK for a placement as the skills I have learnt I can be apply to and look back on well beyond my placement year. Similarly, the people I have met have made it so easy and extremely enjoyable.
I enjoyed the environment and culture which is created at Nissan. Everyone was wanting me to succeed. There were points during my year were I found myself with not much to do and was sometimes bored at work. The social aspect at Nissan was great throughout the year, many different social events were organized and an end of year placement awards was arranged as well
