Keeping up to date with predictions and pipelines for relevant commercial departments. Creating and analysing reports relevant to the commercial sector. Liaising with both consultants and the sales department to ensure clear communication is maintained and consultants are placed. Helping the sales team with projects and tasks.
• On-boarding new trainees which includes: - Ensuring that Log-ins are sent in a timely manner - Weekly presentation to on-board trainees to the various systems within the organization - Troubleshooting and providing first line IT Support to the trainees. • Creating and distributing weekly meeting minutes. • General administrative tasks to support the training cycle including documentation management. • Monitor trainee attendance • Processing of bursary expense claims (if office attendance for training) • Schedule and host regular engagement sessions with the trainees. • Managing the London Academy Inbox resolving day to day issues, signposting and escalating issues when appropriate. • Act as a first point of contact by other functions in the organization • Managing stocks of Academy assets (laptops, lockers, passes and stationary) (if office attendance for training) • Invigilating external exams ad-hoc (if office attendance for training ) • Other ad-hoc duties and projects as required
Projects that aim to reduce costs and maximize revenue from the business. Monitoring sales figures and analyzing data to highlight potential risks or opportunities for the business. Creating decks and reports for exec level stakeholders which are used in external meetings with large multinational corporations. Interactions with both sales and finance.
Sending weekly recruitment reports to regional and global stakeholders. Assisting the marketing team by providing up-to-date statistics and contact lists to target new and current applicants. Working on BI dashboards. Keeping on top of ad-hoc data reporting requests.
My role at FDM Group involved working in a team environment to create and maintain different software applications. These would be used by internal staff and FDM consultants. My day to day duties involve typically involved: - Creating new features for internal software applications - Full stack development, including back end and front end - Designing user interface - Fixing bugs - Creating unit tests - Improving performance issues - Daily communication with other team members - Fixing code review issues - Attending meetings and trainings
FDM Group has an incredible work force, with employees who are supportive, friendly and approachable. I enjoyed my individual group project very much, as I had the opportunity to work with the Diversity and Inclusion team along side my Business Intelligence role. I was a BI intern for 8 weeks, which have literally flown by this summer.
The internship was an enjoyable and inclusive experience. The welcoming environment coupled with the learning and networking opportunities provided a beneficial experience from start to finish. The group project carried out by all interns across the country provided the notion that a real contribution was being made to the company and its values.
It's been a thoroughly enjoyable year from start to finish. Prior to beginning a placement the last thing I wanted was to spend the first 3 months twiddling my thumbs whilst seeking out some responsibility - that definitely wasn't the case at FDM! From the very first week I was trusted to deliver and throughout the year I've felt like I've been growing constantly.
I thoroughly enjoyed all the opportunities I had whilst on placement. The company is very young which made it easy to fit in with full time staff. I was given big projects to work on and lead, which is more than what a lot of placements offer. I had a good year and felt that my work added value to the company. I worked very hard all year but I think that my work paid off, as I have received very good feedback from people from different areas of the business.
