Lovell profile

Lovell

Residential construction & social housing experts

We combine our industry expertise and unrivalled local knowledge with a willingness to think innovatively and ambitiously to help transform communities, and leave a lasting legacy everywhere we work.

Innovation, collaboration, extensive expertise and best practice in sustainable housing all come as standard with Lovell. Our driving force, however, is an ongoing commitment to building futures, changing lives and leaving a lasting legacy in every community in which we work.

We built and sold the UK’s first affordable partnership homes back in 1972, in Swindon. In 1983, we delivered our first design and build scheme, which led to the mixed tenure housing model that is now so familiar.

Today we still design, build and sell new homes, but we also do so much more. We provide finance for land purchasing, for example, and have a division dedicated to refurbishing and maintaining homes and communities across England, Scotland and Wales.

Nationally, we have around 1,400 employees. Spread across six regional teams, they build incredibly effective relationships with our clients, residents, communities and supply chain partners.

Our people

We know that a hugely significant amount of Lovell’s success is directly related to the people we employ. That’s why we recruit carefully – and why people’s potential, commitment and passion are equally as important as their achievements.

Once we have the right people, we train and develop them so they can fulfil their potential and make a positive impact on both our company and our customers.

Our servicefirst culture reflects the values of Lovell and defines the way in which we conduct all of our business relationships. It is based around on our ongoing core objective of knowing our customers well and delivering continually excellent service by embracing all of our business relationships with honesty and openness, focusing on the positive, keeping promises and taking total responsibility for our actions.

Morgan Sindall Group

Lovell is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Morgan Sindall Group, a leading UK construction and regeneration group. With revenue of over £2 billion, the Group operates through five divisions: construction & infrastructure, affordable housing, fit out, urban regeneration and investments.

This gives us the capability to take on projects with a high degree of size and complexity in partnership with other companies within the Group. It is this rare combination of local focus with enormous financial strength that enables Lovell to succeed on projects where others fear to tread.
