I found my placement year to be an incredibly valuable year which helped me to gain experience in a multinational company as well as develop the knowledge and skills I need in order to successfully pursue a career in human resources. It also gave me the opportunity to network and build working relationships.
Really enjoyed my time there. The work was varied and I was always learning something new, and by the end of the placement my knowledge of the sector had improved massively. There was the odd task that wasn't as interesting, but these were few and far between. The people I worked with and around were extremely friendly and helpful, and also some of the brightest people you can come across!
The job was appropriately challenging, while not too hard at the same time. It was enjoyable and not exhausting, something I could continue as a full-time work. The atmosphere at the office was friendly and relaxed, and the community among the employees was great. I soon became involved in after-work clubs and activities, and felt very welcome.
I was part of a fun, friendly and hard working team. The work was varied and instrumental to the running of the business. As my ability to complete tasks grew, I was given more complex and important ones. This meant that I was always developing and never bored. 9
1. I think this was a great place to work, lovely lovely people and a great experience that will help in the future. Most of the time there was enough work to do and if you struggle team members were always there to help. There were also 22 other interns in the same boat which helped with the settling in process.
