Enterprise was a very good opportunity for people starting out their careers as they provide a lot of guidance and a lot of tools that help you develop yourself. Additionally, I really liked the culture as it was very inclusive and enterprise truly rewards you regardless of your background which is very praise worthy.
Overall, my placement year at Enterprises Rent A Car was very enjoyable. From accomplishing goals in your training book, to making customers happy, to achieving a sales goal. Every day is different and unpredictable. It is a fast paced environment and every day brings new challenges and achievements. The level of satisfaction at the end of each day is unmatched to any previous job I have had. The teams that I worked with were always supportive, encouraging and up for a good time.
Enterprise is a good stepping-stone for gaining transferable skills. I enjoyed my placement as it was not difficult and actually fun as you are often out on the road. You get to meet a lot of people in your area and get the opportunity to work in other branches. However, some branches operate better than others and if your branch is underperforming it is difficult to develop. I found that there are far better placements out there that offer a better work-life balance and pay a better salary with more benefits. Disclaimer: Due to Covid-19, all placement students were made redundant with no notice and my placement was 9 months rather than a year long.
I very much enjoyed my placement at Enterprise. The experience every day was positively impacted by the culture of the workplace and the relationships I had with other employees. Some days working were a struggle due to long hours and early starts following a late finish, however everyone on the branch helped eachother through this and working together was enjoyable and did not feel like a tough job in parts. I really enjoyed meeting customers and learning about different people on the job.
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year with Enterprise Rent a Car. I learnt so much more than I ever thought I would and the transferable skills it has given me for my final year at university are priceless. It really taught me how to run a business and manage people. I really got what I wanted out of my placement year and would recommend to anyone I know to apply for placement/graduate opportunities with Enterprise.
My placement year was great. Through out the year I was able to experience different areas of the business aswell as focusing on my personal development. Enterprise gives employees their own responsibilities which allowed me to grow personally and professionally. In addition, due to the time and effort Enterprise put into their employees, it’s defiantly a company I’d recommend to apply for and working at. The skills and experience I gain was of high standard.
I found my placement really interesting and relevant to my course at university (business management). It really helped to improve a lot of my professional skills, whilst gaining valuable work experience. I really liked the structure of the company, and the flexibility to learn new business areas. The training was very useful and nothing that I had ever experienced before. You are constantly learning, with your colleagues and your managers helping along the way. I loved the customer interaction as well; I could actually see what all my dedication was working towards!
I enjoyed my Internship at Enterprise Rent-A-Car massively, even before I got offered the job I was treated like one of them, everyone made you feel welcome from the start. The first 1-5 months I started at a very tough branch where we were very short staffed and his lead to 60+ hour weeks which I did not enjoy, however after speaking to my area manager we made some changes and shortly after i was moved to another local branch where I started to enjoy my work again.
Enterprise is a really good company to do your placement if you’re looking to get experience in loads of different areas. I got to experience marketing, sales, customer service and many other aspects of running a business, and I was given responsibility on day one of my placement.
Very good and always busy never a boring moment! Long hours but worth it and lots of support from managers. I enjoyed dealing with customers first hand and working across many different areas of the business.
I really enjoyed my placement especially the people I worked with. This was very important as some of the days were long but as I got on well with my colleagues it made it go fast. I was given a lot of responsibilities from controlling the way the day was run to finding new business for the company. This helped with my learning and made the placement more enjoyable.
My placement as Enterprise rent a car was an overall enjoyable experience. There is so much to learn and throughout the duration I never stopped developing and growing my skills set. The atmosphere in the local branches encourages hard work, competitiveness and team work in order to achieve both personal and branch objectives. The management were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic every single day. With a range of tasks and job rotation, my placement was a great experience.
The placement was exceptional. During the placement I was able to develop many skills. These included my sales skills and customer service skills. I was also taught key business skills that prior to my placement, I had only learnt about in lecture. The placement gave me the opportunity to put them into practise. These include: finance skills, project management, leadership, team work and many more! The placement allowed me to experience a fast paced business and contribute to its success.
The placement offered many experiences in different business sectors. Hard work was rewarded through monetary incentives or days out go-karting and a meal. There was the chance daily to engage with regular customers as well as important corporate customers.
My placement truly exceeded my expectations with regards to the responsibility I was given and the opportunities I had. Not many people can say they worked with senior vice presidents, managed agencies across five European markets and presented to employees across campus during their internship.
I really enjoyed my placement until the end. The majority of the placement was great, I learned lots, felt appreciated, and took on lots of extra responsibility. These extra responsibilities could include running the branch for a day/a few days, taking on the lead of corporate marketing in your branch, or managing fleet maintenance. Unfortunately coming into my 9th month with ERAC they made the decision to axe placement years due to the Covid-19 situation and toom no consideration over furloughing staff rather than terminating contracts with 1 week's notice. This, unfortunately, brought a great and very insightful year to a very disappointing end and made me feel less valued than the other Management Trainees who were furloughed or moved to where there was more work to be done during the crisis.
I started out thinking it was going to be a great opportunity and it seemed as though there would be plenty of things I would learn by doing the role, but I soon realised that it was just retail disguised as a management scheme and had horrible working hours and was all round a horrible job.
I did enjoy my placement but I would say this was because I was at a airport location, I was given more opportunity to progress, I passed my management qualification interview and I made so many friends and had a great time, but I am also able to see the business from both sides, the hours are long at least 10 hour days, it is very customer service and sales driven, being no good at sales just isn't acceptable, each day is repetitive and it is a underpaid job with little rewards, its only the people that make it worth while. :::I'd also like to mention they make a lot of people write their reviews in front of them so they will never be honest, which is a huge warning.:::
