I really enjoyed this insight. I expected a lot of it when I applied and was disappointed for it to be cancelled because of the global circumstances. However, I really appreciated the transition to the virtual insight and I am really thankful for having had this opportunity to get to know Citi and many of its people better!
I really enjoyed the Spring insight programme at Citi. The programme gave a wide variety of interesting talks, as well as some very useful advice, and the programme left time for lots of questions to be answered. We also took part in an online trading game with Amplify trading which was a lot of fun.
It was very informative and entertaining! They managed to manipulate the virtual aspect to keep it interactive- using the comments box during the 'Get to Know You' segment, the live Retraders simulation etc. Whilst most sessions were engaging, as my background isn't based in Finance, I did struggle to grasp the concepts. Overall I've enjoyed it a lot!
It was a great experience as we got presentations from a vast spectrum of intervenants, each specialised in a different division of the bank. Not only did they clearly explain what they do and how their division works, they also took the time to tell us about their career and how the current situation will impact the economy and their institution.
I learnt a lot during my Summer Internship at Citi, since I rotated in 2 different teams (sales and structuring). The people there are friendly, welcoming and always help you if needed. This experience also allowed me to see how many jobs and asset classes there are on a trading floor.
I enjoyed the work I completed and felt that it was similar to the work that I would be completing on the desk. I was given enough responsibility and was always busy. The intern class were all really friendly and HR was very helpful when I went to them with queries.
I enjoyed the technical nature of my work (rotations), as I learned new things in finance, math and programming. For the most part, I enjoyed my colleagues and the work environment, but the culture between teams can vary a LOT. Some teams were more elitist while others were more friendly and humble.
Excellent summer internship. I learnt a lot from employees, who were available to teach me new concepts and to show me their latest projects. The culture at the firm is very friendly and open-minded. Innovative ideas are encouraged and can be implemented. The place is very meritocratic. I really enjoyed my summer internship there.
What I really enjoyed the most is the fact that people were really friendly. They were always available to help and provide advice. I learned plenty of technical skills in less than 3 months and truly I was not expecting to learn so much in such a short time period. Furthermore, what surprises me the most is the level of responsibility I had form the very beginning. It was not my first internship but clearly It is the one that stands out.
Fantastic working environment, with a really helpful and supportive team. Involved in actual team projects from the start, ensuring good exposure to the industry Internship program had an excellent training week, followed by multiple events including socials and speaker series.
