The placement has been a very valuable experience, as it has a great work and social life balance and the people you are surrounded by are all likeminded people, allowing you to get on well with them easier. Because i have genuine like to the automotive industry the placement is more enjoyable as you learn things you are interested in.
i very much enjoyed my internship. there were many opportunities to expand my knowledge and gain relevant experience. i have learnt alot of things in my internship that i dont belive i would have learnt at university. i have also had many opportunities to show intitiative and to grow as an individual.
Working for such a prestigious company is always enjoyable, even just for seeing such rare cars up close and personal. It was also highly enjoyable working for a company with such a long founded history in the automotive industry nad one who is proud of that history as shown by the constant reminders around the plant.
The companies culture is a credit to this placement. Work is always a mixture of enjoyment and stress when working in this environment, however, the culture is consistently great. The people on-site are so friendly and there is a sense of community within the campus. I would say as an intern, sometimes processes can take the fun out of the job.
I really enjoyed it. Very rewarding and is an experience I wont forget. I only scored it an 8 due to me realising it is not the type of company I can see my self working on long term due to peronal preferences for a smaller company.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at the BMW Group at Hams Hall. I was given a large amount of responsibility, and freedom to work how I felt was best for me to be at my most productive. Every day was different, and the variation never allowed for a boring day.
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year. I got given proper work and projects which really made a difference. I felt valued as a member of the team and my thoughts were listened to and I saw some of my ideas implemented in my time. It was a slow start but learning new processes and a new job takes time so I was expecting it.
8/10 I enjoyed my role so much - not only it is my passion but the level of responsibility given is also beyond my expectation, it's definitely not the typical 'intern job' that I am involved with. There's real responsibiliity, exciting project to work on, and most importantly I feel heard and my opinion actually matters. There are also extra activities that my department is involved with such as walking 25km trek for charity, departmental socials, volunteering, all of which makes the experience even more exciting than just sitting on the desk, working 9-5 everyday. The department I'm in is also a very dynamic one, different areas work together very often to realise a project and this has been very enjoyable.
Great experience, I feel like I've grown massively during the course of my internship with the BMW Group at the MINI Plant in Oxford. I feel very well equipped to tackle the workplace when my university degree concludes, and am very happy to know which area of business I would like to work in in the future, which is HR.
Very much so. Very friendly vibe, with a good intern community. I did mostly work I really enjoyed doing, so very rarely got bored, and not a day went by where I didn't learn something new, whether it was a technical skill, or something about how a big business runs. It took a while to get used to working life, but once I did it was great, and now going back to university feels like a huge effort.
I really enjoyed my placement because I was given a lot to do and treated like I was part of the team from the get go. I have been given a lot of trust in the tasks I undertake and I have had the opportunity to do some other non-work related projects, which I really enjoy.
I've really enjoyed my placement at BMW, I've developed my skills which I've learned at University and applied them to real life situations. I've been given a lot of responsibility and feel like a valued member of the team. It's so good to get involved in a real working environment with a team who value me as much as any other member, and I can't wait to get into full time work after I graduate! The social aspects of my placement also added real value to the experience, with intern circles and social meet-ups from pub crawls to weekly football.
- very nice, open minded and funny colleagues - perfect workload with a good amount of learn effect and the chance to grow with the tasks - very interesting to see the inside processes of the industry - great variety of tasks and crossover work with different departments and point of views
Working as part of the product audit team I had the chance to get very hands on with the cars produced at plant Oxford. I was giving plenty of responsibility and was supported where necessary. I was able to challenge myself with certain task and allowed creative freedom to look at new ways to carry out different tasks
