Golfbreaks.com, one of the world’s largest and longest established golf travel companies, was formed in 1998 by Chief Executive, Andrew Stanley, and now organises golf breaks, holidays and tournament experiences for over 230,000 golfers annually at over 2,500 resorts and golf courses in the UK, Europe and Worldwide.

The 150 staff in the main company headquarters in Windsor, Berkshire, UK also support the local sales offices in Charleston, South Carolina, USA and Copenhagen, Denmark.

What can we offer you?

We offer 13 month placements across Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Marketing, Product and IT. As a medium sized business, Golfbreaks.com can offer its placement students direct exposure to all aspects of the business, allowing strong working relationships to form across all departments. This provides opportunities to gain advice and learn skills from experienced members of staff, making it the perfect environment for a student to thrive.

We have worked with many placement students over the past fourteen years and are delighted with the number returning to the company full time upon graduation. Historically 25% of placement students, who have excelled during their placement year, are offered a position return to Golfbreaks when they graduate. Their return helps to maintain the lively and fun culture that the company thrives on.

Training is a key part of the placement experience. A month before your placement starts we have a ‘Pre-Placement Day’ for all the new students to allow you to meet your manager and team and gain a better insight into what you will be doing on a daily basis. You will then start your placement with a comprehensive two week induction. During your induction you will learn not only about your own department and role, but will have training from every department in the company so that you understand how everyone works together to achieve the company’s goals.

By working with placements we are constantly able to develop an energetic culture, taking on board fresh ideas, whilst grooming the most successful students to return as graduates.
