The programme was very informative and staff at Slaughter and May were welcoming which made the process of the work experience not feel overwhelming. We also had time to converse with staff which allowed me to gain an insight into the field they work in. This had then allowed me to narrow down my career paths and what I want to make a profession out of.
The insight was enjoyable and conducive. Participants were divided into groups of 8-10 to facilitate discussion and feedback between and after sessions. As conversations generally rolled over into mutual and individual experiences in university study and applications, this was a good avenue to network and form bonds in early career stages.
I really enjoyed this placement. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, a lot of effort had been put into making sure the interns had enough to do. There were lots of workshops, talks and the right amount of social events. I learned a lot, got a good insight into the industry and had fun.
