The job was excellent, I did not feel like an intern once, I had loads of responsibility and was working on project that I had genuine interest in. I learnt loads of new skills I previously didn't have. During my role I was also really well connected to people high up in the business which was a great networking experience.
I really enjoy the ethos of the company and being able to be a part of its positive impact it has globally. Also, to have had a job which both allows me to individually get on with my work and also interact with a vast range of people has allowed me to really appreciate my time here. I have also enjoyed getting to know the people I have met and become friends with along the way.
Despite never having experience in this particular field, the team were extremely welcoming and within a few days I felt like I was getting to grips with the new material. I have been given multiple exciting and worthwhile projects whilst here, and it is exciting to know that when I leave I will be able to see some of my direct work in the stores around the country. I will really miss my team and the role, but hopefully one day I will return to the company!
I have thoroughly enjoyed my internship at L’Oréal, I’ve learnt so much in just one year and can already see a significant difference in myself from when I first started. I have had the opportunity to work on multiple brands, work events such as Fashion Week, Boutique openings, four content factory's and will be attending L’Oréal Colour Trophy and Hair Fashion Night in June. I have been given huge responsibilities and been surrounded by fantastic teams.
I really enjoyed my internship with L'Oreal, it was definitely an experience I'd never forget. I was placed in one of their Distribution Center's so the environment and culture was a bit different than what I was used to - but not negatively. I was able to learn new skill sets which I am eager to adopt in my next role. My team were simply amazing and had loads of fun with them.
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at L'Oreal - it was the ideal company for me to have my placement year as I'm so passionate about the beauty industry. I also love the qualities that L'Oreal stand for & encourage eg. innovation, collaboration, team work, thinking outside the box.
L'Oreal is full of opportunities both inside and outside your role. There is lots of scope to tailor projects towards your interests within the function or to take on things extra curricularly, such as a weekly after work yoga class or volunteering events, for example I spent a weekend at Butlins assisting with a science fair stall during my internship
This is my second placement and I have to say this is the best I have ever had! I am highly interested in the beauty industry and this placement offered me a great chance to explore more. I have been given responsibilities and learned quite a lot from the day-to-day tasks as well as the cooperation with my teammates.
I thoroughly enjoyed my work placement. All of my team members, interns and colleagues were very friendly and helpful. My role itself was very interesting, providing the opportunities to learn about and engage in multiple aspects of L'Oreal finance. Working for 3 major brands also allowed me to engage in a variety of out-of-the-office activities that a smaller firm could not have provided.
I have had the best experience and thoroughly enjoyed the year. It's felt less like a placement and more like a starting job. I've had so much support and been given so much responsibility. I really feel like part of a team rather than just someone there for the year. Times I've struggled with the office dynamics, there's a particular culture at LOreal but even that's been a great learning experiencing something outside of my comfort zone working with different characters.
