It was a really interesting placement to have joined the Regional Production team, there was lots of exciting things to do like shoots and creating promos but it also taught me a lot about the industry here and how it works. I feel it has well prepared me for a job after University.
I absolutely loved my year at Disney! My role was Digital Marketing Intern for Disney Channels within central Eastern Europe and emerging markets. As there are over 200 interns in the office, Disney is a really social and fun place to work! My role was perfectly suited to my degree in International Business and I was given far more responsibility than I thought I ever would be as an intern.
I came into this role not really knowing what to expect. I have been astounded by the amount of real responsibility given to us as interns. The work is interesting, challenging and beneficial to career development. Getting up for work in the morning is not a chore as each day brings with is new and exciting opportunities.
Overall, the year at Disney has been a fantastic opportunity. I met great people and learned more than a staple of university can teach. The job itself doesn't offer a lot of prospects for my personal needs, but it provided an amazing touchpoint with the company and the media world.
I thouroughly enjoyed my placement year at Disney and throughout the whole year felt as though I was a valued and respected member of the team. I was supported massively and the year spent at Disney helped me to grow professionally.
I thoroughly enjoyed my Placement Year with Disney, and a vast number of factors contributed to this enjoyment. Alongside the varied workload, and the opportunity to network with a range of industry professionals, I was given the opportunity to attend client events and private screenings. All of these experiences have given me a wealth of knowledge that I would not have had access to without completing this Placement Year.
