The company was brilliant to work for. The offices were filled with posters of various releases, plushies and toys on everyone’s desks and everyone was super friendly. My team was brilliant and made me come out of my internship feeling much more confident as a person and in my abilities.
I had an amazing time at Disney this year and I would recommend it to everyone. You get to meet amazing talented people and work for the biggest entertainment company in the world. I also personally am a big Marvel and Star Wars fan so getting to work on these brands everyday meant there was never a dull day.
The overall placement was truly incomparable. Through hearing multiple friends disappointment with their internship roles and how other businesses manage their placements, I feel very lucky to have been given the chance to work for such a unique and welcoming company that is Disney. If you enjoy responsibility and the feeling of possessing a true purpose in your work, then Disney is the epitome of a placement.
Would definitely recommend Disney for those who wish to develop their personal skills. Disney helped me with my shyness which was my main flaw. Also great opportunities to network around the company and talk with a range of nationalities day to day. Would recommend those who want to increase their network.
I really enjoyed working with the Walt Disney Company. It was an extremely valuable experience in terms of developing my professional and personal skills, in addition to making a great addition to my CV. The benefits of working with this company were fantastic, and I believe it really helped me develop my career.
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at the Walt Disney Company as Regional Communications - Content Intern. I developed many key skills that are needed to work in PR such as communication, organisation and attention to detail.
My placement at Disney was varied and interesting. What I loved about it was that every day was different, and the variety of projects I could get involved in to get as much experience in this company and the world of marketing general. Naturally there were days that weren't so great but thats part and parcel of the working world. In general, I enjoyed my placement and actually went back to work for them after I graduated from university.
It was nice being there for so long, you really became a part of both the company and the team. You never really felt like an intern i.e you were at the bottom of the food chain. It was more like you were equal to everyone else on the team.
I had a fantastic year at Disney. It not only a great experience but a throughly enjoyable one, which meant that I was excited to come into work every morning. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a placement.
My placement year at Disney was so much more than I had expected. I was very fortunate to be offered a role in the Consumer Products Finance team, where I was given numerous opportunities and responsibilities. I learnt so much more than I ever thought possible in just 12 months, and I know it will be hugely beneficial in my final year at university and future career.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Disney, not only did I have amazing opportunities to develop my skills to help in my future finance career, but I also had access to amazing work perks such as consumer product freebies and early cinema screenings!
I did enjoy my placement year. The work was very technical so it took a while to fully understand the business. The company brand is fantastic and it will look very impressive on your CV, however the lack of graduate scheme reflects the level of support you will receive at times. I felt how much you enjoy your year can very much depend on the team/department you are assigned too.
The past 12 months have been an amazing experience. As I worked across through two different departments, I was able to network and meet so many differnet people in different fields of work, for instance marketing, licensing and ticketing. Furthermore I was able to take part in Disney's volunteering days which meant I met other employees in different departments.
From the first day you are treated like part of the team, not a new intern. Each intern is given real projects like any other employee, working hand in hand with licensees to create Disney - packaged products! I have very much enjoyed the responsibility and tasks given to me
