I have thoroughly enjoyed my Placement year at The Walt Disney Company. I feel I have learn't a lot about business and how to develop a design. I have had the chance to ork alongside factories, creating plush toys. I have learn't about costings and ammending design to suit distributors needs. I hae attended distributor meetings, toy fairs and hae had the chance to design and develop products, including research into the market and materials. However, I have also had to complete general day to day tasks, answering emails, sending parcels and uploading images and documents to the approval system. In periods it has been very quiet with not much to do. Which is why I have only given a 7.
I was in a very supportive team working across multiple projects which gave me lots of experience. I greatly enjoyed working with my team as I was never given just 'intern' work. Additionally having a big intern network really enhanced the experience.
I loved the placement. I really enjoyed coming to work everyday and i really felt that i had a place in the work community. I had varied tasks which made each day go quickly, some days i would be shocked that it was already lunch time and i hadn't even noticed how fast the day was going.
I really enjouy my placement experience. I work in the Contract Management Centre team and they have really helped me develop and grow during this placement. The work itself is probably the closest you can get to doing legal work at the minute because I am not a qualified lawyer.
Job given is challenging and interesting. The working environment is very relaxed but competitive as well. I can say it is a very unique work place. I had a chance to work for three different teams which is not common. Having little bit of different experience would make my placement unique and enjoyable.
My placement at The Walt Disney Company was made an enjoyable experience by the people I worked with, as there are a lot of other interns there, and the management are all really nice. However, due to reasons specific to my particulr role, I didn't always have enough work to do and so didn't always enjoy my placement. However, I know that most other interns who weren't affected by this really enjoyed their internship.
I have learnt so much from being an adult to being a professional. I was exposed to various responsibilities and was able toto meet numerous internal and external stakeholders, some of which I have built great rapports with. A placement to rember.
This job was difficult to settle in to. However after 3/4 months I was able to find my feet and develop good relationships with my team members and managers. The middle 6 month period was a brilliant period of development for myself personally and a time when I really enjoyed the work.
I really enjoyed my placement. It was a great experience where I had lots of opportunities to meet lots of new people and learn lots of different skills that could help me in my future career. All the full-time staff are used to working with and managing interns so they are all very considerate and helpful.
My work is rewarding and challenging most of the time and adds real business value to my department and team. I have been steered towards what my interests are and what the business needs which has allowed me to see where my areas of interests lie and not. My work has also allowed me to work across many areas and get a great insight into loads of different business areas.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Disney. The placement has given me the opportunity to experience what the creative and licensing industry is really about. I have been able to work with franchises I love and this has really driven me throughout my time here. The fact I was able to spend some time living in London only enhanced the experience further.
I really enjoyed my placement. I found I felt like a crucial part of the team as opposed to an intern. There are a lot of perks that make the work aspect a lot more fun. I found the long hours a struggle but overall it was outweighed by my enjoyment.
I have really enjoyed my placement at Disney, from the start I was welcomed into the office and treated as a colleague of equal footing rather than an intern. The work has been constantly changing and is exciting and creative. The office is a great place to be with a large variety of perks and ongoing social activities.
I enjoyed the company as a whole but feel the job (accounting) was not suited to my skills and didn't keep my interest for the entire year. Although a good experience, I feel it would have been a better idea if the placement only lasted a few months - maybe with a rotation scheme so you could spend a few months in finance and a few in accounting.
