It was fantastic to work at Disney and get experience working for a large global company. There was plenty of opportunities to learn new skills through courses and the other workers appreciated you were an intern and were very friendly and were always willing to offer advice and support. Plus, meeting the characters every now and again certainly helped.
I enjoyed it a lot, due to my love for Disney, Marvel and Lucasfilm franchises. However, that is not the main reason as I learnt how an international company works and what office life is like. I learn new skills and made lots of connections.
They don't come much better than this in terms of the atmosphere in the office. Every one is positive and willing to help develop you as an individual and you are treated like a normal employee as opposed to an intern. There was always something to do and it always helps when Mickey Mouse occasionally walks past your desk from time to time.
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement, and I felt that I was given the opportunity to grow and learn as an individual as well as learn to work as part of an team. Disney were very supportive of my gaining experience in other departments which I really enjoyed, and this helped me to gain knowledge from different perspectives.
