I enjoyed my internship from day one and enjoy it more each day, as cheesy as that sounds. I've worked in a few companies before, but UBS definitely has one of the best cultures. I think the people you're around make such a difference. Everyone I've met has been interesting and friendly - my team have especially been supportive.
I was placed with the exact team I wanted to work with. The Head of Emerging Talent really took our preferences into account when placing us with teams. My fellow interns also had very similar stories. The work I was doing was very interesting and stimulating. I have heard from friends at other banks that they were given busy work. At UBS, we were not just interns but an integral part of the team.
I am currently in the fourth week of my summer internship, so it may be a little too early to make a judgement, but so far I am enjoying it very much. I feel very challenged, especially since it is my first time working in the banking sector. UBS is a very large bank, and that means that there are plenty of things to learn, e.g. the different business functions of the bank, and how different functions interact with/support each other.
I've enjoyed the internship massively so far. The whole program has been well managed and is structured in a way that's given me a broad exposure to the business in a relatively short period of time. Even past the standard events organised for the interns, UBS also has a whole host of amazing events for all employees that interns are welcome to attend!
I am enjoying my internship quite a lot to be very honest. Firstly, its a brand new experience, so everything is quite new and fresh and interesting comparing to my experiences at school. Secondly, I really like the people here, I met great many great other interns and we hang out a lot, the colleagues in my team are very good at their job but also very friendly and caring for me. So I never feel like not coming to work when I wake up early in the morning, which is amazing.
Started on 25 June (a Monday) and internship lasted until late August - Friday 24 August to be precise. The internship has been a terrific experience with so many opportunities to make new friends, get to know the business and delve into the culture. The working hours were very good too.
I enjoyed the insight very much. It was very interactive, the environment was hospitable and it was nice to meet other like-minded students with the same ambitions and goals as me. The firm’s representatives were really helpful in terms of indulging us into the deep sectors of the firm and answering any of our questions.
I enjoyed it very much. Investment banking allows you to push your boundaries and learn a lot in a condensed period of time. It can be tough and the levels of expectation are high, but you are working with some incredibly intelligent people who want to push you as far as you can go.
I found the programme very enjoyable. All workshops and sessions were interactive, fun and rewarding. As a whole, the programme was well structured and organised. It certainly made me consider applying for future programmes at the firm. In particular the workshops were more enjoyable than the talks as they were interactive.
I really enjoyed the insight as it gave me a new perspective regarding financial services. The UBS Talent Lab 2018 was jam-packed with talks and workshops from different people and different areas of the multinational Swiss Bank. I particularly enjoyed the workshops as they created a fun aspect to the different services UBS has.
The 3 days provided lots of opportunities to ask questions and find out about all the different divisions across the bank. It was also beneficial to have the chance to meet a variety of employees from graduates up to senior managing directors. I learnt a lot and really enjoyed my experience.
The ubs Talents Lab program was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed a lot in getting to know the company, different sectors, people working at UBS and other fellow candidates of the program. Overall, it was an overwhelming 3 days and I am excited to come back soon.
