Great time at UBS, so many friendly people and an amazing overview of the company. Got engaged with all divisions from tech where we learned to code with python to sales and trading where we managed our own portfolio. An outstanding opportunity to understand the industry and UBS culture.
I really enjoyed this spring week, I thought that the range of divisions and business areas they exposed us to helped us to develop a comprehensive understanding of the range of jobs available. Moreover, the use of workshops after sessions allowed us to put what we learnt into practice and in a group setting.
I very much enjoyed the programme, as we were introduced to many business areas including the Investment Bank, Asset Management and Technology. However, students who are less interested in technology were neglected with the choice of topics on the presentations, as this was geared to students that study engineering etc. .
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight program. I gain valuable information regarding the various business areas. The presenters came prepared and were really informative. I like how the program involved hands-on workshops which were really useful in gaining an introductory glimpse into the industry but at the same time staying casual.
No complaints, each business area and the possible job roles within were presented in an understandable and interesting manner. Extra workshops and case studies were added which made the insight enjoyable as we got to step in the shoes of those who worked there. I would definitely do it all again if I could.
Great insight on the careers at UBS and opportunity to talk to operationals who make themselves available for you. I loved how everything was very well planned and the planning very well respected: started and finished on time. There is also opportunity to meet and talk with almost all the other students which is not always the case elsewhere.
I really enjoyed my internship at UBS. I managed to learn loads throughout the 9 week period and quite importantly, I was able to network with a range of different people. The environment was very friendly and the facilities at UBS are brilliant, right from the gym, to the agile working desks and focus rooms.
This internship allowed me to get involved with several projects from day 1 and contribute new ideas. The projects were meaningful and my contribution was appreciated. Everyone who I reached out too were friendly/ helpful and often made time in order to meet to discuss their roles within their division.
I had a very enjoyable summer at UBS. The company is awesome. The office is great and the work is interesting. There were lots of speaker series, workshops, social events and other events which kept us busy, even if work was slow. I would happily return to the bank in the future and would recommend to anybody interested in a career in banking.
I enjoyed the whole of my 2 month internship due to the work, the people and the company itself. I was trusted with real work that was needed by my colleagues and so I could get a real feel for the work they do day to day. Everyone made me feel really welcome and were always willing to sit down with me and help me understand things further.
It was a fantastic experience. The work was dynamic and stimulating, working on pitches and deals for companies that were worth millions-billions of dollars. The team was incredibly friendly and willing to help you learn and make the most of your internship. They stressed the importance of working sustainably and efficiently, which made the entire experience feel productive and worthwhile.
Throughout the internship I was exposed to different, interesting parts of the business and worked with many people, so that gave me enough exposure to get insight into the industry and made me thoroughly enjoy all 9 weeks of the internship
I enjoyed the placement, learnt a lot and gained valuable insight into the industry and the company. The company has a great culture and encourages speaking up from all employees no matter the status. I was given responsibility from the get go which helped me learn a lot quicker and in more depth than had I just been shadowing within the bank.
I really enjoyed my time at UBS, the work was varied and interesting. Even when doing more admin heavy tasks it was made clear to me why I was doing it. I did not feel I was doing 'busy work'. The people were friendly and the other interns were good fun.
