Attended the UBS Women's Breakfast in October 2018. This was a great event to network with individuals from the different UBS teams and other attendees. I really enjoyed listening about the culture that exists at UBS and how to apply for certain graduate opportunities which exist within the firm. I would definitely recommend
The insight week provided a great overview of the banking industry. I thought the variety of workshops, sessions and talks available was suitably broad given it’s our first foray into finance. All of the staff were lovely and the information provided was great. The networking drinks were extremely useful in terms of expansion of our network.
It was a really great experience - I got to meet lots of inspiring young people doing amazing things and I have particularly enjoyed the mix of cultures and opinions in the group. Banking is the career I want to go into and being able to see what happens day to day within a bank is very exciting.
Overall it was a good insight to banking and how the bank works. We got to meet a lot of people from the industry. At the same time, we had presentations on the different areas in investment banking and did games on how trading actually works. Also, we got to work in team by a final project.
I really enjoyed the blend of speakers and educational sessions. This gave a variety in style and was very well organised. It meant that we received formal training and more informative networking opportunities and chances to get real-life insight to different employees' experiences at this Swiss Investment Bank here in London.
It was an interesting experience as I was able to learn more about UBS and it’s business areas, as well as it’s culture and workplace ethics, through a jam packed programme filled with presentations, workshops, case studies and networking sessions. It was an exciting opportunity to learn more about the firm through the insight programme.
