Due to the global pandemic, UBS took the time and resources to move our spring week onto a virtual format, so that we would still be able to learn about the company and ask any questions we may have. This was delivered expertly, and although it wasn't quite spending the week in the office, it was really insightful.
The insight was so informative and broad. The people we interacted with were from a great range of positions and roles, and were all so inspiring and passionate. The experience has definitely educated me in the business and opened my eyes to career avenues I hadn't even thought of before.
I really enjoyed the Spring Insight Program: the sessions were informative and interesting and the recruiters are approachable and friendly. Even though the Program had to be conducted virtually rather than face-to-face due to COVID-19 pandemic, I still felt like I have received a valuable insight into the culture and work at UBS.
I would like to thank to all who had helped to make this opportunity come true. It has been the greatest week since the lockdown for sure. As the Spring Week was going to be online I thought that it was not going to be interactive enough. However, I was completely wrong. I couldn't have enjoyed more.
Every session was stimulating and enjoyable to an extent. Some sessions were run by relatively uninspiring graduates but perhaps that is a reflection of how engaging some of the other speakers were particularly in the innovation lab, research and philanthropy. Some sessions I particularly enjoyed and felt quite inspired by and these are the business areas I will pursue further going forward. This program gave me a good reason to get up in the morning- it stimulated and motivated me so much.
I enjoyed the event because everyone seems so approachable and professional! It was really enjoyable to listen to professionals and graduates in UBS talking about their experiences. It was fun to have the ice-breaking sessions and quizzes too. They light up my day. Great time asking questions to the senior people.
I really enjoyed the insight as it was very well structured. It included talks by people from various business groups as well as a workshop that gave us an introduction to finance which was extremely beneficial especially to students without a finance background like me. Despite being a virtual session, the insight was still very informative and enjoyable to attend.
I enjoyed all aspects of the programme content. The HR team that planned the session were very nice, supportive and helpful. I came out of the programme with a completely renewed understanding of the financial markets and the firm. The programme had perfectly packaged a mix of educational sessions and interactive elements like case studies. However, due to the breakout of the COVID-19, it was offered on a Virtual Platform instead this year. This has nothing to do with the firm or the speakers, but the platform used did not offer the best features to support the interactive elements designed within the programme. I would recommend Zoom next time!
Really enjoyed the Spring Insight Programme provided by the Junior Talent Team at UBS. While the programme was completed virtually due to Coronavirus, the team went to every effort to ensure the experience was as interactive and engaging as possible. I was particularly impressed with the number of current UBS employees who gave up their time to provide insight into their roles.
The most enjoyable and satisfying thing for me was how generous people were with their time to speak to me and help me learn as much as possible about many different areas of the bank over my summer internship. I enjoyed carrying out all the work I was given as it gave me the opportunity to learn about real products and services of the business. This included a research project which I was tasked with, which I presented to some quite senior people at the end of the internship. The other interns were a very friendly and made the internship especially enjoyable from a more social side too.
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship with UBS. We were warmly welcomed from the first day and the focus was very much on us learning and developing our skills professionally rather than having harsh expectations put on us which was nice. The people are lovely and I have learned a lot.
I enjoyed my work placement a lot, I liked the amount of responsibility I got and that I learnt how to do some financial modelling and also got to do my own financial modelling project where I then presented the output to the directors in my team. It was a very good learning experience
I loved everyday, the team is amazing and I had lots of fun. We went out, for drinks and we joke around.. During dinner I sdpent time talking and learning about the job with the analysts, while other interns didn't had that opportunity, so we were really lucky in that sense.
