I had a fantastic time on the virtual internship. I really appreciate all of the effort the staff, especially HR, put into making sure we got to connect with people from all over the firm and with interns as well. They made sure we had social events and that each time we were in different groups. However some of the socials did not work as well virtually. I also really enjoyed the project work I was given and my team was great. Most of the time the work was very engaging and challenging.
It was an extremely pleasant and informative experience. The internship despite being completely virtual due to COVID-19 was well planned and engaging. During the internship, my manager, buddy and teammates were extremely supportive with any questions as well as with feedback. I was given timely and constructive feedback that was great for learning essential skills and gaining a better understanding of the firm and the project my team was working on. The entire experience was very positive.
It was an incredible enjoyable experience, very interactive despite the fact that the spring week was conducted virtually due to the pandemic. All of the activities were incredibly insightful and easy to follow. I would recommend for anyone who wants to learn more about banking in general! It was great!
I really enjoyed the insight week. I gained a lot of information about the different roles within UBS. I also enjoyed the interactive case study we did. My favorite session was the innovation Lab, but I believe the overview in the financial service industry was the useful in terms of information. What I believe was missing actually seeing inside the office, but this was something out everyone's control.
The insight was thoroughly enjoyable, with hosts This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions having put a great deal of effort into the program. I feel like I have got a greater perspective into what working in the financial industry would entail and, considering the difficult circumstances with coronavirus, we still had a great variety of different speakers and contacts.
Despite un unforeseen circumstances, this virtual programme was incredibly insightful and engaging. We had many diverse sessions, from interactive quizzes to in-depth talks from professionals from many different UBS departments. I learnt an immense amount over such a short period of time and really felt connected with the speakers/other participants.
UBS's insight program was useful in learning about various parts of the business. Despite the pandemic, the HR team did a great job and clearly did a lot of work to transform the program into something that worked with the remote format. There were adequate breaks and everyone was friendly.
Even though it was a virtual insight, plenty of opportunities were given to learn more about the firm and the different business divisions. The insight was kept interactive so it was tailored to our questions and queries about the industry. The interactivity was kept up through occasional brain teasers, quizzes and games and we were encouraged to give feedback and participate in challenging discussions.
I really enjoyed the insight, I found the information we received very relevant and informative. The culture of UBS came across very positively and the people who spoke were friendly and very helpful. I thought the insight was well structured and I am really pleased I had the opportunity to partake in it.
In the beginning, I didn't really know what to expect. When the spring weeks were canceled because of COVID-19 it was by far the event that frustrated me the most. However, the insight program was a lot more interactive than I expected, allowing us to ask as many questions as we wanted and even speak through the microphone. When speaking to a classmate that had participated in an insight program at another bank, she told me that they barely had an opportunity to interact with the speakers. I think that's what made this program so fun and informative and has really allowed me to gain insight into the different areas UBS can offer.
Due to the global pandemic, UBS took the time and resources to move our spring week onto a virtual format, so that we would still be able to learn about the company and ask any questions we may have. This was delivered expertly, and although it wasn't quite spending the week in the office, it was really insightful.
The insight was so informative and broad. The people we interacted with were from a great range of positions and roles, and were all so inspiring and passionate. The experience has definitely educated me in the business and opened my eyes to career avenues I hadn't even thought of before.
I really enjoyed the Spring Insight Program: the sessions were informative and interesting and the recruiters are approachable and friendly. Even though the Program had to be conducted virtually rather than face-to-face due to COVID-19 pandemic, I still felt like I have received a valuable insight into the culture and work at UBS.
I would like to thank to all who had helped to make this opportunity come true. It has been the greatest week since the lockdown for sure. As the Spring Week was going to be online I thought that it was not going to be interactive enough. However, I was completely wrong. I couldn't have enjoyed more.
Every session was stimulating and enjoyable to an extent. Some sessions were run by relatively uninspiring graduates but perhaps that is a reflection of how engaging some of the other speakers were particularly in the innovation lab, research and philanthropy. Some sessions I particularly enjoyed and felt quite inspired by and these are the business areas I will pursue further going forward. This program gave me a good reason to get up in the morning- it stimulated and motivated me so much.
