I enjoyed my placement as it gave me an excellent insight into the world of business. Siemens was a great company to give me a taste for working life as it is well set up and connected to all the other Siemens businesses around the world.
My Legal internship at Siemens was very rewarding, I obtained invaluable experience throughout my internship and I never felt that I was withheld from participating. The quality of work and opportunities available were outstanding. Moreover, I always felt like I could ask for help and get quality guidance.
My placement has provided me with invaluable industrial experience that has taught me a lot. I had the opportunity to work with plenty of incredible people across the various divisions in the business and with plenty of people within the university as well. I look forward to having the opportunity to practice what I've learnt throughout the year.
I was placed directly working with a full team on a real project. being given a full introduction to the system, workflow and the team, I was ready to begin working, and any time I had any issues my colleagues would be there to help. One of the most important things, I think, is the fact that they didn't expect me to be perfect and allowed me to make mistakes, correcting me as I worked.
Overall, I have thoughtfully enjoyed my experiences at Siemens. The opportunity and scope that is available for interns at Siemens is huge. Many of the projects I have been involved with have been very unique in its nature and feel proud to have been a part of them. I would have liked to have been more involved towards the start of my internship as it was a slow start.
I enjoyed my placement at Mentor Graphics a lot. I feel very lucky to have been placed in a job which values me as an employee, is understanding and has a serious work ethic whilst having a relaxed work environment. Some tasks were tedious but that never lasted too long due to the variety of tasks I had on my plate.
I really enjoyed my placement year and I would recommended doing a placement if possible. In terms of actual work, it gave me an insight of what an office environment is like and the jobs I might be doing in the future. I have also gained relevant knowledge and first hand experience I didn't have before the placement.
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at Siemens Rail Automation, where I was given the opportunity to work on a live project. The people are very friendly and the company invest in developing individuals. Working here gave me a great insight into the everyday life of an engineer an opened my eyes to the different opportunities available.
I feel I did not reach my full potential as when I arrived in the company they were not prepared for me and did not have work for me to do. Throughout the internship I feel I was given odd jobs to fill my time so I wasn't able to get fully stuck into anything. I wasn't really put in a department so I didn't get as involved as I would have liked.
The placement opportunity I have been given has made a substantial impact on the road to my ideal career. The style of work, the environment and the people I work with have all contributed to making my time within Siemens as best it could possibly be.The work was engaging and it challenged me to push myself further. I would definitely recommend a placement opportunity to my acquaintances if they are given the chance to do so.
Overall, I really enjoyed my time in this position. I was able to partake in a great variety of projects as well as being actively encouraged to pursue and "own" my ideas. This is extremely rewarding, knowing that projects I started will be continued after I finish my time with the company.
