I thoroughly enjoyed every part of my internship year with Siemens Rail Systems. It was without a doubt the best thing I could have done in terms of my own career development and has allowed me to be involved in interesting projects and work and develop skills I didn't realise I had
Despite a tough initial learning curve, I have immensely enjoyed my time at Mentor Graphics, and feel I’ve learned a huge amount. This is both in terms of my technical and inter-personal skills; as I’ve learnt about software development and coding, but also how to work in a professional environment and within a team.
I enjoyed it very much. It felt more like a junior role than an internship. We were given our own projects to work on so it was good to have that responsibility and not feel like "just an intern". If they had a graduate position for HR i would definitely apply but unfortunately they do not.
I thoroughly enjoyed my work placement because of the variety of opportunities that were given to me; attending events abroad, managing my own projects, leading the student placement campaign, and working on projects with the Marketing Team. Everyone at Mentor Graphics have been extremely friendly, supportive and experienced individuals which I believe has highly contributed to my placement year being successful and most enjoyable.
I found the placement very enjoyable, and would highly recommend it. There was a good variety of work throughout the year, including both a major project and shorter side projects. I was given lots of training opportunities throughout the year, including an opportunity to train the next intake of interns. Feeling like an integral member of the team greatly enhanced my experience during this placement.
I enjoyed my internship since I was given the chance to interact with employees and managers from different levels, locations and different cultures and exchange idea and experiences. That allowed me to learn about the organization I was assigned to in total as well as how we fit with Siemens as a whole.
An annual internship gives you the opportunity to familiarise with the work and colleagues as well as enjoy your time; something that cannot be experienced that much from a 3-month internship. The overall working experience was nice with plenty of events and days-off the office for social events and trainings
I enjoyed every bit of my placement as from the beginning I was guided on what my role will be, what I will learn and what is expected of me. This matches my future career goals and I enjoyed the ownership culture experienced while working at Siemens,
I have really enjoyed my work placement year with Siemens and have been lucky to be able to work with lovely people who made me feel welcome from the beginning and throughout. I have completed a year with Siemens in the Finance department completing a variety of tasks and processes.
