Role: Training & HR Assistant

Scope of role: Providing administrative support to the HR Team in general and directly to the Employee Development Manager. This involves a wide variety of tasks, often ongoing, which need to be monitored by the individual closely to ensure that deadlines are met.

Reports to: Employee Development Manager

Main Duties:

  • Providing full administration support to the Employee Development Manager
  • Training and HR admin, to include producing letters, filing and general HR admin
  • Take active role in liaising/negotiating with suppliers and organising external courses for employees
  • Conducting research and analysis, and producing reports for the HR Director and HR Manager
  • Project work for HR function e.g: policy development, process mapping or supporting recruitment activity
  • Financial paperwork e.g. processing purchase orders, invoices and finalising payment
  • Induction preparation, setting up equipment, related paperwork etc
  • Assisting with the logistical organisation of student internships including accommodation
  • Preparing presentations/training materials/work books
  • Day to day co-ordination of requirements of the Linde Apprentice Programme including recruitment, planning Induction activities, accommodation and travel
  • Managing requests for the use of a car for company business

Skills and Personal Qualities

  • Ability to set goals, to plan and organise yourself and your workload to achieve them
  • Be able to proactively discuss, listen and communicate with both colleagues and external contacts
  • To be a fast learner who can make well informed decisions
  • Ability to receive feedback and constructively apply this at work
  • To be able to follow instructions, polices and procedures ensuring they comply with legal obligations
  • Be able to use Microsoft Office competently
  • Knowledge of HR

Experience

  • Being able to deal with multiple tasks, customer requests and interruptions at the same time
  • Working as a contributing member of a team
