Greatly enjoyed the placement. Met great people and interns. Helpful manager and mentor. Like the work I was given. I liked the office and canteen area, the working environment was good. I enjoyed being able to work with colleagues in India as it gave me an insight into how international teams operate
Great experience, really lovely group of interns and friendly HR staff. The internship involved rotating around two desks on the trading floor over 10 weeks and started with a week of training first to get set up for the time. The learning really helped get to grips with the work and the rotations meant I saw a lot.
I was on the trading floor for the summer, spending time in two different areas. My first rotation could have been better, the I didn't get the best vibe from the team whilst I was there. The second was better, though this could be due to my personality matching up better with the product.
It was a great experience. One of the greatest things, that made my internship better was ability approach people from different departments by easily booking a session with them via calendar. I think not many banks have this connection between senior people and juniors. That makes it a great one. Thank you
I enjoyed a lot this experience especially given the amount of things I have learned and the friendly environment of my team. I also had the opportunity to interact with many divisions and different roles in the organization. I also enjoyed being exposed to daily activities as well as ad hoc projects.
I have really enjoyed and valued my time at Nomura. This might largely be attributed to a supportive team environment and a steep learning curve, aiding both personal and professional development. The 10-week internship offers complete immersion into investment banking, and stands as invaluable for anyone wishing to explore a potential career in this industry.
It was overall an enjoyable experience. The first week training was really convenient and not only served to catch up of things you might not have known but to also meet the rest of the interns, who I found to be really friendly and approachable. The team and the people in the company also tried to make the whole experience both relevant, enough hands on work, and enjoyable.
I enjoyed the internship as everyone I met was very friendly and willing to spend time with me to have a chat or help with the work I was doing. There were social events organised to get to know the other interns in my cohort, and the work was challenging but achievable.
Will depend a lot on your respective team and role. Industrials IBD team is much recommended and by many viewed as one of the nicest and most technical teams. Generally, the work is very interesting and the workplace is very dynamic. There will be some tasks that seem quite mundane to you after a while, however, there are always new things to learn and once you know more you get more responsibility.
I found the experience extremely interesting. The learning curve was steep, and I had a lot of exposure. The working environment was extremely enjoyable. I liked the atmosphere in the team and I had good times also with other interns. I build strong ties that I hope will endure also in the future.
