I really enjoyed the insight, despite the fact that we couldn't do it in London as had been planned. The team worked really hard to prepare online interactive courses, panels and group activities. I left knowing a lot more about finance and what working in financial services would be like, as well as improving my communication and group work skills.
I really enjoyed the Spring Insight Programme for 3 reasons. Firstly, I was able to discover in more detail Nomura, its different divisions and its corporate culture. Then, the Programme is well-structured, with presentations, case studies, interactive games, debate mate and excel training. I found each part really interesting and I learned a lot. Finally, my classmates were kind and friendly, I really spend three amazing days.
It was thoroughly enjoyable throughout, even though presented virtually due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The presenters were all very friendly and supportive throughout and we were still able to do a group presentation and a group stock-picking simulation.
Overall I enjoyed my internship at nomura due to the great culture and environment. People were very helpful and always happy to explain processes in more detail to you. Especially the rotational programme at nomura helped me decide which area is more suitable for me. I highly recommend the internship at Nomura.
Greatly enjoyed the placement. Met great people and interns. Helpful manager and mentor. Like the work I was given. I liked the office and canteen area, the working environment was good. I enjoyed being able to work with colleagues in India as it gave me an insight into how international teams operate
Great experience, really lovely group of interns and friendly HR staff. The internship involved rotating around two desks on the trading floor over 10 weeks and started with a week of training first to get set up for the time. The learning really helped get to grips with the work and the rotations meant I saw a lot.
I was on the trading floor for the summer, spending time in two different areas. My first rotation could have been better, the I didn't get the best vibe from the team whilst I was there. The second was better, though this could be due to my personality matching up better with the product.
It was a great experience. One of the greatest things, that made my internship better was ability approach people from different departments by easily booking a session with them via calendar. I think not many banks have this connection between senior people and juniors. That makes it a great one. Thank you
I enjoyed a lot this experience especially given the amount of things I have learned and the friendly environment of my team. I also had the opportunity to interact with many divisions and different roles in the organization. I also enjoyed being exposed to daily activities as well as ad hoc projects.
