I very much so enjoyed this insight programme at Nomura. I found each day to be genuinely enjoyable and there was also a lot to gain from the programme. This programme provided a great insight into the bank as well as a feel for the broader financial sector. I found the recruiting team to be very helpful and there were plenty of opportunities to network with employees.
I found this insight programme to be really enjoyable and each day provided different opportunities and insights into the different sectors within the bank. The week started with some icebreaker tasks in order to get to know the other interns, as well as welcome drinks on the first evening. Throughout the week the HR team were really friendly and made you feel welcome to ensure you were having an enjoyable time at Nomura.
I have really enjoyed my stay at the firm. I have learnt a lot about the company and it gave me a brief idea of how I will implement my degree to real life. I believe it was a really good push for my future career and education. Aside from work, the company is very active, there are a range of activities one can join in after working hours.
It was a fantastic program that gave us a huge amount of 'hands on' experience and exposure to what it could be like working here. Everyone was extremely friendly and I learnt so much in a very short period of time. I am very happy to have participated in the program.
I enjoyed pklacement greatly. The team I’m in made good friends with me and there was always a very sociable atmosphere. I enjoyed what I was doing on a day to day basis and have learnt a lot of skill relevant to my course throughout my year. I’ve also enjoyed having the opportunity living in London
The 10+ month placement was incredibly insightful into how an Investment Bank operates on a day-to-day basis. With minimal specific financial experience, I believe the training in place is good prior to starting the placement and provided a high-level overview into the sector. I thought the placement was challenging which meant it was also rewarding and it demands you put in hours, effort and interest in order to make the most of your time at Nomura.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at Nomura. The main reason is that I was able to get as much assistance/guidance as I can in terms of my progression and self-development. I was also lucky enough to work on both development and business analysis therefore was exposed to many different sides of technology from my role.
I thoroughly enjoyed my 12 month placement at Nomura. There were 16 of us in total in the yearly intake, this was a great situation to be in as there were 15 others in the exact same position as me. It was also nice to be incorporated in with the summer internship students over the June-August period as this gave us a chance to interact with others.
I absolutely loved this insight. Everyone was so friendly and it was so nice to be able to meet other people in the same situation as me. All of the staff have been very friendly and it was run so well. It was definitely an invaluable experience and one that I would definitely recommend.
It was a really valuable and enjoyable experience! I came into the programme not expecting to enjoy myself or learn anywhere near as much as I did. There was a good mix of timetabled talks/activities, as well as enough free time to work within my team, or arrange work shadowing/networking opportunities.
I really enjoyed the insight. Everyone I met was very friendly, and the programme gave me the opportunity to meet like-minded girls my age, with whom I saw almost daily and could share details about our experiences, so we got an idea of what the company was like outside our particular division.
I absolutely loved it! It is definitely the best spring week program available as it is the only one that gives real exposure to the life of an investment banker. Everyone is super nice and after 2 weeks it already feels like home. Totally recommendable! I can't wait to go back for the summer internship!
The insight was really fun. I got to participate in lots of group exercises like Debate Mate, talks, projects and meetings. Everyone was really friendly and everyday was different. I got the chance to work on lots of projects and loved the responsibility. The work varied from coding to presentations.
The 2 weeks at Nomura was very insightful, in terms of learning about the various divisions within Global Markets and learning about how they are all linked together and work cohesively. Meeting new people (other interns and staff) was the most enjoyable thing on the programme, as you are meeting people form different backgrounds, who have different jobs and interests.
