About LCP

Experience working for an award winning financial consultancy. Meet the people, see the offices and join in the social scene on a summer internship in London or Winchester for up to 9 weeks, with varied and engaging work, training and pay, and a real opportunity to secure a graduate position. We offer internships in our Pensions Actuarial, Investment Consulting, Insurance, and Analytics (including, energy, health and financial modelling) teams across our London and Winchester offices.

At LCP, the work we do involves assessing the risks associated with future events and advising clients on how much money they should set aside now to be able to cover uncertain payments in the future, and how that money should be invested. Working with some of the brightest minds in the business means you will get a real feel for what being a consultant at LCP is really like.

We are not so big to have lost the personal touch, yet large enough to offer you experience on a wide range of projects, including advising FTSE 100 and global companies. Providing opportunities for our people and solutions for our clients is at the heart of what we do - developing problem solvers, creative thinkers and future business leaders.

There’s always something going on with plenty of social and sporting events being arranged. It’s no coincidence that our London and Winchester offices are both set within reach of the many attractions they have to offer, enabling you to network, socialise and develop your career all at the same time. Work-life balance is very important to us!

We want everyone to have the opportunity to fulfil their potential at LCP. That’s why we seek to build an inclusive workplace where all forms of diversity are valued. There are a large number of initiatives we now run to support diversity and inclusion, including our popular agile working policy, our programme of support for parents and carers at LCP, and our thriving Women’s, LGBT+, Multicultural and Wellbeing Networks.

We have a dedicated social committee that works hard all year around to provide different social events for our staff, understanding that as well as our core role and benefits we also want to build a sociable and fun environment. This includes sports clubs, theatre trips, masterclasses such as cooking lessons and jewellery making and day trips out. We have an annual party where both the Winchester and London office come together to celebrate everyone’s hard work. We also understand that as a firm we have a wider social responsibility and have a volunteer policy in place so that individuals can take one day a year to share their skills through volunteering. Alongside this we have a corporate responsibility group, which promotes fundraising events and raises awareness on what we can do as a business and as individuals to build a more sustainable future.

The strength of our people has resulted in a host of industry awards in recent years. In 2019 alone we have won seven awards including “Consultant of the Year” awards in Pensions Actuarial, Investment, Pensions De-risking and Employee Benefits; 20 years of Excellence in Defined Contribution; and an award for Diversity and Inclusion Excellence.

We have high hopes for the interns we recruit each year, as ultimately we want you to advance to our graduate trainee programme. Fortunately, there is plenty we can do to support you and we will go out of our way to ensure you get the best experience here with us!

I really enjoyed the virtual internship at LCP. I felt that it was very well planned and interns were well integrated into their respective teams, despite the remote circumstances. We were kept busy with numerous projects which were really engaging and required us to present our findings. I definitely learnt a lot in a short space of time. It was also really nice to be included in social calls at the end of the week which were good fun and provided a more informal way to get to know team members....
