Despite the Spring Week having to go virtual, I absolutely loved the experience. From coffee chat to interactive case studies and a group project through to fitness challenges, the 4 day experience was far beyond what I expected and I came away really feeling as though I had learnt about the culture of Rothschild & Co and what it would be like to work within the Global Advisory division. A truly fantastic experience which I will cherish for years to come.
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Especially compared to some other virtual experiences I've participated in, it was really well and thoughtfully put together. There were a lot of different elements to the programme, such as panels, information sessions, and case studies. There were also opportunities for networking despite the virtual platform, such as being linked with an analyst buddy at the firm, coffee chats with bankers built into the programme schedule, and time to talk and 'mingle' with other programme participants.
The virtual insight programme was an incredible opportunity to get an insight of the work and lifestyle at Rothschild & Co. There were many informative presentations which furthered my knowledge on Global Advisory and I enjoyed questioning those presenting. I was given plenty of opportunities to meet other people on the programme and I am still in contact with many as a result.
I absolutely enjoyed the Insight Programme. Not only did I learn a lot about Rothschild & Co and the financial advisory industry as a whole, but also about workers' wellbeing, teamwork, presentation skills and the unique history of the Rothschild family. The Insight Programme introduced me to the life of an investment banker in London, offering both interactive and informative panels through the best available technology to ensure the best experience. Meeting and interacting with other interns in a multicultural environment was also a major highlight.
Overall, I found the virtual experience really inspiring, interesting and engaging. Despite being online and therefore not in the office, I felt that I was able to learn a lot more about Investment Banking, and also, able to interact with a variety of bankers from the firm. The experience was well organised and I felt that the programme allowed me to learn a lot more about Rothschild's renowned culture in a supportive and collaborative environment.
The internship was a really valuable experience in investment banking. It gives you hands-on experience into what a career in M&A would be like and the typical tasks that an analyst would carry out. Everyone was very helpful and welcoming even though due to the Covid-19 situation the internship was carried out remotely. Even though everyone was working from home, I was still staffed on various projects which enabled me to gain a very broad exposure to different workstreams.
The internship was an enjoyable and fulling experience. Although being virtual, I was able to build close relationship with colleagues and improved both my technical and soft skills. I highly recommend the internship to anyone who is interested in investment banking.
It was a fantastic week - despite having to be virtual due to Covid, the week was just as if it would have been if we were in the offices. As well as learning lots about Rothschild & Co and the different business areas, there was social events and team working which enabled us to get to know the other Interns. I had the chance to aid in creating a virtual diary of the week which was a really fun element too, adding to my experience. On the whole, I have nothing but praise for my experience.
The internship was a fantastic experience. Throughout my time with the team, I got huge exposure to a range of deals in a variety of industries. The team was also very eager to network and share their experiences, which allowed me to develop close relationships and feel like an integral part of the team.
The work was interesting and challenging. The people that I was working with in my team were engaging and fun to work with. I enjoyed meeting the other interns on my internship as well (30 of us in the same location in the same division). What held it back a bit this year was everything being online. Obviously this was common to all firms. Not being able to meet people in person meant that it was more challenging to pick up info.
I very much enjoyed the spring program, as I was able to learn about all the different divisions at Rothschild & Co, speaking to business people from every area of the bank. Not only that, but learning about the history of the firm was also very interesting. We also had the chance to work in groups for multiple team projects, which made the week as a whole very well-rounded and enjoyable, despite the virtual environment.
While the Spring Insight Program was virtual, it was very interactive, informative, and interesting throughout. The schedule was packed with very stimulating activities, and I felt that the Rothschild & Co team did a wonderful job in ensuring that we all had a very enjoyable experience. I especially loved that we were able to work on an M&A case study to understand what it's like to work in investment banking first hand. Overall, I strongly recommend this program to anyone interested in learning more about Rothschild & Co and a career in finance.
