I really enjoyed my time working for Eaton, they definitely take their time to train their interns. I was trusted with a lot of responsibilities which really help build my confidence. With the internship programme you exposed to a lot of opportunities within the organisation. You also get the chance to various sites within the UK for extensive training by professionals which other organisations do not offer with their internship programme.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Eaton. Whilst on placement I feel as though I really got the chance to enhance my skills and develop as a person. I was given many tasks which helped me believe that I was adding value to the business. Further to this, I was given many cross functional tasks to perform and I often enjoyed being outside of my comfort zone and dealing with people I wouldn't have dealt with previously.
I would say overall I have enjoyed my placement year with Eaton. I have had a good variety of experiences and met a lot of new people, the other 3 interns based at my site have become my close friends and so this has contributed in terms of enjoyment. However, the placement is a real job and as you would expect, working has its not so enjoyable aspects also.
I was lucky enough to work in a great team and able to enjoy all the work that I was doing. A large amount of project based work which I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in and collaborating with a wide range of people in varying roles. I really enjoyed the team environment and the work I was undertaking throughout the year, able to develop a variety of technical skills.
The placement was great for many reasons. Through a gradual and well thought plan I was gradually given more and more responsibility. The job itself was very interesting and through it I managed to make a meaningful contribution to the business. The responsibility given and the sense of achievement after good results was really motivating and made the quality of this placement excellent.
I enjoyed my placement a lot. It gave me a great opportunity to learn new skills as well as improve upon existing ones. I feel that I have learnt more about industry this year than University has taught me. If you are looking for a dynamic placement that offers support, opportunity and knowledge this is for you. If given the opportunity I would do it again.
I thoroughly enjoyed working at Eaton this year, and feel like it has given me a good feel for the working environment. I have got on well with my colleagues, and feel that I contributed to the business in a big way. I would've liked to have worked in a more vibrant environment, but I was exposed to higher management on a daily basis which aided my development.
I enjoyed my placement year very much, despite having some struggles and having to adjust to being in a working environment I am glad I chose this placement. It was quite a big change for me, moving from a university environment to a global company but my colleagues were very kind and helped me to adjust well into my placement.
The people in the office were friendly and helpful and this made work mostly enjoyable. As an intern, you are not given the "fun" work, but tend to do some monotonous tasks, which others prefer not to do, and this can make the day long. However, the work you are given is real work, not fluff, and that was something I was looking for in a placement.
I really enjoyed working for Eaton and gaining real business experience, which was my main aim for my placement year. Eaton has a manufacturing plant in Cwmbran and I was based there. Everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly and I developed good working relationships with everyone in the office. I have learnt a large number of transferable skills throughout the year which I wouldn't have gained from University. I was given real tasks and projects which added value to the business, providing me with a real insight into the world of business. Eaton value the internship programme hugely and provided us with ten training days during the year which were very useful. Although it is not an industry I would like to pursue, the skills I have learnt are invaluable and are transferable for my future career.
I really enjoyed my placement this year. I have been able to complete a wide range of tasks within my role. I have applied a lot of my university knowledge from brand management to finance. I have covered every aspect of marketing within the business including digital, PR and comms.
I very much enjoyed my time as part of the Eaton internship programme. Being able to apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout university and the wider world and being able to apply this to real world projects is very rewarding. Being able to work alongside many different people and cultures across the business has given me great exposure to business operation and functions.
As a whole, I really enjoyed my placement. I had an active role on large scale projects, which helped me to learn huge amounts with respect to the running of the business as a whole, as well as to grasp a huge understanding of the processes and systems required in order to effectively run projects. Ultimately 'you get out what you put in', so I found that being proactive in seeking areas for improvement led to gaining more and more responsibility as the placement went on.
