Overall I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my placement. I have been given a level of exposure I don’t believe I would get at other placements and a fair amount of responsibility within my team. I have had the ability to expand out of my role working within another function of the business which ultimately led to being given the opportunity to travel internationally with customers. The work has been varying enough throughout the year as to be interesting but regular enough to maintain a weekly routine. Of course there has been peaks and troughs as with any job but fortunately there is a large number of interns at the placement so there has been a really good social life outside of work throughout the year.
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at SAP! I’ve had the opportunity to take on responsibilities that I didn’t think would be allocated to an intern, and I’ve gained an in depth insight into how a global corporation operates. Within this role I’ve had the opportunity to travel to other countries, I’ve been involved in customer presentations and I even had the opportunity to present to over 200 customers at a European conference. If I had been told this before I’d have started my placement, I’m not sure that I would have believed it!
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship at SAP. There have been many opportunities to get involved in different projects and tasks, while also gaining insight into how a business is run. A great place to start building your professional network. Was given a lot of responsibility and free reign to find tasks and add value to the organization. You get out the amount that you put in. Can be high pressured and fast pace, but found working in that kind of environment interesting and enjoyable.
I felt my time at SAP was very valuable and my enjoyment levels were extremely high. I was surprised at the level of responsibility I was given and the freedom to which I could pursue my own projects and build my network. The role I was doing was very insightful and I was able to implicate my own twists on certain tasks to ensure that I left my own mark on my experience at SAP
I really enjoyed my placement at SAP, and it is definitely a placement I would recommend. The people and atmosphere make it an enjoyable, and exciting place to work. I could not have asked for more out of a placement year in terms of opportunities I have been given, the team I have been working with, the amount I have learnt and the scope for self-development.
I thorougly enjoyed my internship at SAP. A key positive aspect about the SAP internship is the community amongst the interns. Moving away from home and uni to work for 13 months can be quite daunting however, with over 30 other interns on the internship, there are many social events and it makes the year a lot easier having the support of your peers.
I really enjoyed my time at SAP. I was nervous and excited coming into the role but as soon as I arrived I settled quickly into my role and the ethos of the company. I really enjoyed seeing how a global company operated at a high level and enjoyed learning about how 75,000 employees.
SAP has helped me gain invaluable experience in a corporate environment which I never would've learnt at university. I've had some great experiences at the company and been given the chance to develop my skills and learn from some very experienced professionals. I do wish I could've gained more experience in sales but understand this is difficult when customer- facing meetings are so important.
Overall SAP has given me many opportunities throughout my 13 month placement. The invaluable experience I have gained through this year has been a huge learning curve which I would not have been able to learn otherwise - I hope to apply this experience to further graduate jobs within the IT industry. In terms of sales experience I would not say I have been exposed as much as I would like, however I have gained a brilliant insight into sales operations, commercial and the sales cycle.
Having arrived at the end of my placement, after taking a moment to look back over the time period, I have extremely fond memories of working for SAP. It is an exceptional company, especially as a young person just starting your career, due to the open nature of the organization. Each day, I was offered the chance to undertake a plethora of varied tasks and was given a multitude of exciting opportunities. For example, I was given the chance to attend the SAP User Group with my fellow colleagues. I was extremely lucky to be part of such a welcoming and fun team. For all of the reasons presented, I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement.
On the whole the placement has been good. I have learnt a few fair things that I wouldn't have if I had not done a placement, such as being a project manager of fellow interns. However, it is a lot of administrative tasks that a quite mind numbing. I have also worked out this is not what I want to do in future life.
I have really enjoyed my placement year at SAP. Working for a company of the size SAP has been very interesting as I hadn't worked in a big organisation before. The role has been very interesting taking on a large amount of responsibility very quickly, I have interacted with other departments on a daily basis giving me a good level of exposure. The social life with other interns is amazing, probably the highlight of my year.
I have mostly enjoyed my placement here at SAP, it has taught me a great deal of skills that i can transfer in to my final year at university and into my future job roles. One of the most important things that I have gained over the year is networking skills. I have been lucky enough to travel to various events over the year - this has been really fun to get out of the office and meet with both international colleagues and partners.
I really enjoyed my placement year at SAP, its taught me a great deal of skills that I can transfer into my final year at university and into my future job roles. One of the most important things I've taken out of my year is the networking that I have done around the whole business.
The software development placement at SAP has been a great experience overall. I had the opportunity to work with a vast range of different technologies and learn from some of the most knowledgeable people I know. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here as an intern and I will truly miss everyone that I worked with.
I absolutely loved my placement year at SAP! The company is in a really exciting & innovative industry which makes working for them really interesting – I was able to get involved in a really good mix of tasks from digital campaigns, social media management, events & more! There was also a group of around 30 interns throughout the business which meant you had a connection with each department – that came in very handy – and also meant the social side of working was really fun!
I really enjoyed my placement year at SAP. I worked on a diverse range of projects and developed a lot of professional and personal skills which will help me in any future employment post university. The most valuable aspect of my placement was meeting and networking with professionals from all over the technology industry. I am confident that these connections will put me in good stead to secure future employment.
The work placement gave me the luxury of working with a fantastic, mixed team of both senior and early talent employees. Their enthusiasm, supportiveness and guidance played a key role in my development and overall enjoyment of my year in industry. The number of interns in the intake year was also perfect. Small enough to connect with everybody and large enough to not feel like you're the only intern there.
