Multinational tyre manufacturers Pirelli is based in Milan and has been listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since 1922. They were founded in Milan, Italy in 1872 by Giovanni Battista Pirelli.Pirelli is one of the largest tyre manufacturers behind its competitors Bridgestone, Michelin, Continental and Goodyear. Pirelli operates in over 160 countries worldwide and has over 20 manufacturing sites and have a network of at least 10,000 distributors. Did you know that Pirelli is the sole tyre supplier in Formula One, this is because Bridgestone decided to withdraw from the role at the end of 2010 championship.
