I throuoghly enjoyed my placement at Travelport. My team were amazing! I was lucky to be part of such a large intern cohort (28 of us in total) which meant that I built many friendships within the intern community. Besides from our everyday tasks, we were able to work on many intern initiatives, such as raising money for charity through the CSR programme. This was great fun as it meant we had to work as big team to achieve our goals.
I have really enjoyed my experience so far with Travelport. From the get go, there was a clear structure with the placement and I had a lot of support. I struggled at the beginning, however, after a few months I really got the hang of it all. The company have been fairly supportive throught the pandemic as well.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement year at Travelport. It has been invaluable and I have learned more than I ever expected before I started. The people at Travelport and my team in particular were so welcoming and friendly, always willing to help me. I was given exposure to a lot more information and responsibility than I thought I would. What I enjoyed most was working in a team of supportive, kind, funny and all round awesome people who knew their job inside out and made my first experience of working in an office a really enjoyable one! The job role was challenging but do- able and allowed me to learn a lot more about the profession I'd like to go into. As well as this the Corporate Social Responsibility activities were a nice breather from my day to day job role.
I enjoyed my placement at Travelport. Everyday was different. I would work on a variety of tasks, a lot of my work was ad hoc. I had the opportunity to work with other teams on projects, which gave me more exposure to the organisation. Throughout my time I have learnt a lot more about the travel industry.
I have really enjoyed my 13 month placement at Travelport! I have worked very closely with my manager and team, enabling me to learn a vast amount of knowledge which I hope I can use when returning to University for my final year. We were also able to work on CSR alongside our roles.
As a Business Intelligence intern, I really enjoyed my line of work. I always found the work that I was given engaging and valuable. Overall, it was an extremely valuable experience and I felt like the internship scheme was taken seriously, and as interns got given meaningful tasks that had a real impact on Travelport.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my year working at Travelport, you will make friends with other interns and be given a job role with real responsibilities. Travelport has a well-established internship program, they have now-permanent staff who were previously interns who look after you and run the program. There is a cross-over period where your first month as an intern is the last month for the interns of the previous year, this is perfect for you to get trained in your job role, but the previous interns will also introduce you to people, show you around the office and share their experience and advice with you from their year at Travelport.
My placement had its ups and downs during the change of management. My first manager when I started was incredible and I learned so much. My second manager was not so attentive and I felt I had to seek out work from other teams - so I moved. But overall, there were lots of people willing to help me grow and improve. Working in the travel industry in this climate has been very interesting, and I started working more with the data team which was very eye opening.
I really enjoyed my placement at Travelport. I enjoyed getting to know other interns during our intern activities and fundraising as well as organised social events such as Ascot. Working with my team I expanded and developed a range of skills including presentation and IT skills. Everyone is very supportive at Travelport and It is easy to approach senior members.
I really enjoyed my internship at Travelport, it was great being placed into a close knit team. I loved the fact all the interns also worked together closely to raise money for our two chosen charities and really making a difference by completing 'Make Your Mark Days' with other Travelport employees.
I really enjoyed my work placement. It was a very diverse job role which was ideal for gaining experience, I had lots of freedom and lots of opportunities to explore different skills and meet new people. Throughout my placement I also got the experience lots of different events within the company, from culture changes to a new strategic vision for the company which was insightful.
This has been a challenging but very valuable placement - they're not joking when they say you're not just an Intern. You are just like any other employee, with responsibilities to match! I took this placement in order to gain experience, which I definitely feel it has provided. I am extremely glad I took this placement as the real-world experience I now have will be invaluable in my future career.
I enjoyed it so much. A great culture, a great team, a great office and the company is going in a great direction. Never dreaded going to work, and the amount of invaluable experiences and skills I gained is something I am grateul for as it was never something I could learn from a textbook. Being surrounded by other intern during the year was also a big plus and worth mentioning that it aided to my life changing experience.
I really don't have one bad thing about working for Travelport. I was very fortunate to be surrounded by the most supportive team members and colleagues who looked out for me and allowed me to pursue what I wanted to do. Lots of fun activities outside of work too and you become so close to everyone working there.
I enjoyed my placement a lot, there are a lot of opportunity to learn and grow. It's given me a good insight into working life. Travelport especially has a great scheme for development, and the social parts of the company are great too.
I really enjoyed my time at Travelport, everyone was very friendly and welcome from the start. I have made some great friends and the work- life balance was easy to maintain. There was not one day where I dreaded walking into work, my only criticism is that I would like more facilities that encouraged more down time.
