My Year working at E.ON

I chose to do a year in industry with E.ON because the scheme stood out from the crowd – there seemed to be more responsibilities and opportunities on offer. And I’m glad to say I wasn’t wrong. I have had the chance to do a paper on funding for low carbon technology. It centred on potential policy changes; a hot topic within E.ON and the wider energy industry. It may even be shared with the Department of Energy and Climate Change.

At E.ON your personal and professional development is supported and encouraged. The support I receive is immeasurable, and there’s always someone to give me feedback so I know exactly how to improve. There’s loads of opportunity for more formal development too - I’ve already been to workshops in the UK and Germany and even delivered presentations at board level meetings.

What I really love about the scheme is that even though I’m only an undergraduate, I’ve been given serious responsibility, my work is valued and I have the chance to have a real impact at E.ON.

The experience here allows you to build and develop valuable skills as an individual. You also have the advantage of potentially fast tracking onto one of the E.ON graduate schemes.
