Marketing Executive

I joined Baxter on a 12 month contract as a Marketing Executive for my placement year at university. I had been studying Marketing at university and did not have any experience of the healthcare sector so was not entirely sure what to expect when joining Baxter! What I found was an organisation that passionately cared about their mission statement to Save and Sustain Lives and prioritised the development of their employees.

It was this culture that drove me to apply for the graduate scheme which I started when completing my degree in 2014. On the graduate scheme I had the opportunity to rotate around the business, learning about different functions and business units. Upon completion of the graduate scheme I was promoted to Account Manager in one of the sales team which was a fantastic opportunity. It allowed me to build confidence in discussion with customers, grow my commercial awareness and stretched/challenged me.

Since then I have progressed into a Product Manager role in the marketing team which I have really enjoyed. The role has allowed me to grow and develop while taking on management responsibility for our current Marketing Executives on student placement. If you’re looking for a career in a company where you will have opportunities to grow and develop while working with colleagues who genuinely care about the impact the have on people’s lives then Baxter would be for you!
