How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

Throughout my placement I was given quite a lot of responsibility and the opportunity to really add value to the projects which I was assigned. This meant that I truly felt like part of the team and my contributions and ideas had a real purpose and impact.

What did you enjoy most about your placement/internship?

The wide network of people that I have come to know during my placements have made my internship very interesting and enjoyable, including meeting all of the other interns at the intern induction day. The opportunity to work in 'The Tower' was also a highlight!

“Being made to challenge concepts and voice ideas has made me more confident in situations such as interviews and meetings”

In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company invest in you?

I was amazed at the generosity of senior team members in investing their time to explain new concepts and processes to me. I really felt like everyone was happy and willing to help me. My line manager fully involved me in meetings and work that the team was doing at the time.

How has this placement affected your career prospects?

I have experienced various segments within this huge organisation, standing me in good stead for potential employers. Being made to challenge concepts and voice ideas has made me more confident in situations such as interviews and meetings. Also, areas of the organisation have interested me which I knew nothing about before starting my internship.
