Chronic Renal Care Marketing Executive

I joined Baxter at the start of July 2020 - just at the end lockdown - on a 54-week placement scheme, along with three other students.

It has been very surreal working from home, since I have not actually visited the office since my interview in October 2019. However, the team have been very helpful with problems and challenges that I have faced, allowing me to feel welcome, comfortable and productive in the new virtual way of working.

Although I play a small part in such a large organisation, the fact that every day I go to work and ultimately help patients improve their quality of life is very rewarding. I feel part of Baxter’s larger mission of saving and sustaining lives, alongside my colleagues who are extremely passionate about what they do, creating a thriving and positive working environment. No two days are the same here, making it an incredibly varied role. The placement is really what you make it and extremely open ended.

Since joining the organisation, Baxter have been continually supportive in giving me opportunities to develop myself and get involved in projects that I have expressed an interest in outside of the marketing department. Baxter also have an extremely interesting graduate scheme and great opportunities for career progression.
